External Natural Gas Outlet (BBQ, Patio Heater)

Are external natural gas outlet boxes permitted in Ireland.

i.e. a quick release fitting which you can use to connect a gas BBQ or a gas patio heater.
Seams crazy to be dragging bottles of gas around when the house is piped for natural gas.

They are relatively common in the US and Canada but cant find any information on them in Ireland or UK.

I understand the BBQ or patio heater needs to have the correct reg and nozzle. I also understand people will have opinions in its relative safety. However my question is specific to the regulations. Is it legal or is it prohibited under gas regs.

Very good idea, and good question. I haven't seen any in my time.

Surely if there's an isolation valve on the inside somewhere so it can be turned off inside the home to stop external tampering it could be possible. I'll look into it.

NG BBq's scarce enough here.
I looked 10 or so years ago, nothing around.

The gas pressure here and in US are the same, 7 inches of water if I recollect properly so if u get the NG BBQ, there is no regulator required, its just plug and play, plug and cook, once the RGII guys have done the needful
