Obviously gryffindor is the best! Jesus that is weird! (I queued at 19 years of age for three hours to get the last HP book before anyone else. I'm embarrassed now even thinking about it!) :o

This isn't weird, I do it too sometimes. Sure lots of people have baths in the dark with candles. Why not showers?

Judging from what I've just read, I must be the only normal person on AH.

That's an oddity that only people from AH don't get.

I've watched Jaws, The Shawshank Redemption, Hunt for Red October and 12 Angry Men about 40 times each and will continue to watch them whenever I want.

I eat kiwis skin and all. I've been called sick for doing it, it's like eating camels balls etc

    Car reg countdown.

The year is the target number, the rest of the number can be grouped in whatever way you like (e.g. 14275 can be 14,2,75, or 1,4,27,5 etc.)
You have until the lights turn green.

I always do that too, and up until last year some time when someone pointed it out to me, I was the same with oranges, supposed to peel them first, but I used just eat them whole, like an apple. It turned me fierce paranoid about eating in front of people :o

(Bananas I always peeled though, just never gave other fruits a second thought)

any'' odd'' eccentricities or quirks that others raise their eyebrows at, but are normality for you?

I like to shower in the dark. its relaxing and saves electricity yet the others in the house find it odd and ask me about it as if its a weird fetish.

when I was younger during a picky phase I used to pick all toppings and cheese off my pizza and eat it bare. and when I could I would get a small customised pizza with just tomato sauce to myself.

    You need one of these
    I got one. Only mighty!

I have a very strong hatred towards terracotta. I hate the feel of it and physically can't touch anything made of terracotta. It makes me shiver. In fact, I can't even look at anything made from terracotta.

I can eat the same thing day in and day out and not get bored of it.

For most of my life I've only ever had weetabix for breakfast -- like literally every morning since I was a kid (from 10 onwards I'd say, not I'm 28).Only in the last 2 years have I drifted and added more variety.

Same with lunch only a bit more variety. (could be soup, could be salad.. who knows with this crazy guy!!)

Which is odd because I always cook something different for dinner...

I expressly reserve the right to cycle on the road whenever and wherever I feel like it (except through red lights of course), so no problem. :)

And isn't it nice how us cyclists are now willing to share the road with car drivers even though they were originally built for bicycles and trams? http://www.theguardian.com/environment/bike-blog/2013/apr/16/roads-not-built-for-cars-book
    ;)
who cares what they were originally built for.

theres the proof. a menace - using the road for mere sport when people have important things to get done.

literally playing in the road. fvck people trying to get home, look at me in my rubber underpants Im Steven Roache winning the tour de France.

I know a man in his 50's that puts tea in his cornflakes he says it was a follow on from goody. Anyone old enough to remember what goody was?

Haven't heard that in years ! 'Goody'. Well in our house it was hotmilk poured over bread, sugar and raisins. A popular supper dish when we were small.

Well , sugar sprinkled over the bread and milk mixed in the bowl. Sure you have jam on bread don't you? It was a bit like a quick version of bread pudding.

Funnily enough bread and butter pudding is on my shortlist of hated foods!
People don't understand why I never want to order dessert when I'm out for a meal. Dessert does nothing for me.

Reminds me of the lad in here once who was eating stew every day for a year. He would select a new dish each year for dinner.

I think "goody" was mentioned in the book Angela's Ashes. Must be around a long time.

When I eat dinner, I eat each component one at a time. Start with veg, then potato, then meat. Same in restaurants.
