And some want us to believe there are more City fans in Manchester itself then United.

City sell more shirts in London, Stockport and in the Netherlands than they do in Manchester.

Would imagine that the stat includes tourists, for example, as opposed to being limited to those who reside full time in Manchester. would imagine United would easily get the most unique visitors, whereas the argument could still stand that people living in The City support City.

(not saying the latter is 100% true! just that the stat doesn't disprove the notion mentioned....)

You're right and I guess it does not debunk anything.

But even that aside, considering the differences both teams had on the field, the difference is huge.

I think the myth that there's more City than United supporters in Manchester died once and for all when they couldn't sell out a Champions League game against Roma.

I think the CSKA game was worse , they were offering buy one get one free on tickets and still couldn't sell out

Lots of talk that United have a serious interest in Kevin de Bruyne.

He wasn't given a chance, he played 429 mins in total for them that's less than 5 games.
He's a good player not sure he's what we need though.

Seen him described as the best playmaker this season in the Bundesliga, where out of 17 games he played he has 3 goals and 10 assists.

Mourinho in the words of De Bruyne seems to have been the problem at Chelsea.
Speaking to Belgian newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws, he said: 'My pre-season was good, my first game too, but I still don't know why I lost my place after the game against Manchester United.
'I've also never asked Mourinho. He has never told me: 'Kevin, you don't train well.'
'It's a pity he told a press conference that I wasn't doing well on the training pitch. That's not me. I'm always a player who gives the full 100 per cent in training. Those remarks created a wrong image.'

'After the press conference in Bucharest I even started training harder, even on my days off. I lost three kilos and two percent fat - although we could get everything at the club: coke, chocolate.
'My situation has never changed. That's why I asked him in a friendly way: 'please let me go.''

Looks like a Chelsea's version of Pogba, except they sold him.

PSG, Arsenal and City also said to be interested in signing him.

Kagawas was also described as the best play a maker in Germany once upon a time.

De bruyne is exactly the kind of player we don't need at the club atm. But that means it's likely that we will sign him!!

this sums up our transfer policy over the last 5 years. of course we have signed some great players such as DDG, Van Persie, Di Maria who were all needed, however alot of players have been signed that we either didnt need , we not good enough or were not the priority positions.

Unfair and undue criticism to be fair. I didn't see MNF but I'd be suprised if Neville was signalling him out.

Blind releases everyone else to do their bit, and as most recently as the QPR game, when an opportunity presents itself to split a defence he does it.

There has been a lack of incision from wide areas and through the middle, but culpable for that is Rooney, Mata, Di Maria, Falcao, RVP etc. Not Blind, who sits in a defensive/support role.

it was a couple of months ago that Neville criticised him.

I said it as well, there are/was times in games when he is in loads of space and instead of moving forward with the ball or passing a ball forward he just passes it sideways or back to the defenders. Nothing wrong with a bit of criticism in fairness

Blind played somebody on Saturday with a lovely ball, picked the ball up at left back position drifted over to right back position and played a great through ball for someone.

James Wilson. Peach of a pass as well.

It was for Wilson, who then put Falcao through to miss his chance. And it was beautifully played.

in falcaos defence if you look at it Caulker just got a touch to it which was enough to take it out of falcaos stride. great ball by blind and run by wilson though

What i dont get about that criticism from neville there was that carrick can definitely be at fault a lot for doing passes like this as well but never gets picked up on by neville

We're back up to 2nd in the money league with revenues of €518m from last season. If we make the top 4 this season there's a real chance we'll be back on top in two years time with the massive boost from the kit deal.

Van Persie was not needed. At the time of his signing we had Rooney, Chicharito, Welbeck and Berbatov.

Yes but he won us a league and the 20 odd million is nothing compared to the extra title in the record books.

Buying him did not preclude us buying other players.

Plus he was better than Berb, Chico and Welb. Madrid would never consider a purchase like that, neither should we.

Ah yeah I picked that up on the replay and wasn't as furious as when I saw it realtime.

Still a chance though, but I'm not instigating he "missed a sitter"

Doesn't worry me that Falcao missed some chances, the most important thing is getting into goalscoring positions, all strikers can have an off period especially after being out for a while

Still got a goal just over every 2 games he's played

Wilson complemented Falcao well. I would like to see both start on Friday, with Rooney and RVP on the bench.
    Valdes
    Rafael* - Smalling - Rojo - Blind
    Carrick
    Herrera - Di Maria**
    Mata
    Wilson - Falcao

    *Assuming he's fit
**Maybe rest and give Perierra or Januzaj a chance.

Smalling is injured. ManUtd twitter posted that.
