Wasn't loud enough to be heard from the outside.

The bass sounds get louder the closer you are to the windscreen - that's why it's so loud in the video.

In fairness you also seem to be sitting in the overtaking lane when you don't need to be.

There are trucks doing 90 in the middle lane. ;)

Not for an awful lot of the clip. In fact after he undertakes the middle lane hoggers the middle lane is completely clear. You seem to just be sitting in the right lane.

If you pause it at the start, you could understand their frustration. Miles of cars with nobody using the main driving lane.

But if you watch the clip again you will see that it's not clear. If I will move into the middle lane for 4 seconds and then back into the overtaking lane I will just end up weaving like that nutter in the Citroen...

Granted if everyone wasn't driving in the right lane there wouldn't be a problem but there's a lot more than 4 seconds that the Middle lane is clear. And to be honest, I usually take the "you may only pass on the left when traffic is moving slower in the other lanes" to mean that if people are tottering along at 80/90 in the middle lane and the driving lane is completely clear I can use it to do the speed limit!

Fair enough if everyone is hogging the right line, but this guy was flying across the three lanes, straddling across 2 lanes, pulling in front of me at one point forcing me to brake and pulling in front of somebody else forcing them to brake too.

I've been driving for 4 months, don't expect me to be perfect and I hope you realise who the villain in this video is, because it's definitely not me, even if I am hogging the lane.

Garda car passed you in the opposite direction a few seconds beforehand so maybe it was stolen and the driver wanted out of there quick when they seen it. Crazy.

I disagree with your post. At all times the camera car is keeping up with traffic in his lane, catching or passing cars trucks etc in the middle lane, at the very start we don't know if he had just passed a Artic in the middle.

I use that road up and down numerous times everyday in a 90kph HGV.

It makes you wonder what actually gets taught in Irish driving lessons.
Between high powered cars with pricks at the wheel, cutting through each lane, causing severe accidents when they eventually come undone (with their superior driving skill:rolleyes:).
To the morons who either think they have some sort of entitlement to the middle or right lane or are completely oblivious to the fact that the right is for overtaking ONLY.

Why are the Garda not doing anything about middle lane hoggers??!!

PS... the knob in that vid was hardly in a high powered car, but he was driving the nuts out of it to get it going so fast.

Keep left unless you want to overtake. Not rocket science.. Why is this so hard to process. ??

But the same can be said for HGVs driving in the middle lane going at the same speed as HGVs in the left lane.

All it takes is 1 HGV being in the middle lane doing 90 and everyone will be using the right lane, FACT.

There was only 2 trucks in lane 1 for the whole length of that clip apart from them 2 every driver in the clip is a lane hogger,

What and idiot that undertaker is, all that crap and didn't get further than a few cars.

Another thing is that over the duration of the clip he never left sight of the OP so he wasn't making any time, he was just driving crazy for no real benefit.

I don't see anything wrong with his driving at-all, granted there was a small segment during his clip that he could have come out of the over-taking lane but as he could see way more ahead than us well he knew he'd be back over taking within seconds, and as long as no one was behind him putting the pressure on, then he was right to stay where he was..
What's the story with the wipers?:)

the problem is if you sit in the outside lane (or the middle) when you don't need to, you are only compounding the problem. If you can move over, you should.

I've used the N7 a lot and to be honest I have acted like that Citroen driver.
It can be absolutely infuriating when the person on the outside lane refuses to move and sometimes does the exact same speed as the person in the middle lane.
You are a new driver but you should know that you can't just stay in the right hand lane as long as you want.
It can cause road rage to people behind who want to go faster and then you have clowns like that driver (plus myself in the past) who get annoyed and go down the drive like a tosser route.
I'd much rather be changing lanes constantly and by the book than sitting in a lane which causes impediment to others.
But we are not coming close to 2 pages of this so maybe we should get back to videos?

He was driving at about 140 km/h at peak points. Please tell me you don't act like that.

Not sure why people are criticising the OP, (probably just to pick on someone)

The driving in the clip is terrible, mainly because of the erratic lane changing, however I have always been of the opinion if (after I catch up to your car) I have enough time to undertake you, then you had enough time to pull in to the inside lane.. (Rarely have I ever had to undertake any car, due to my HID headlights and the aggressive look to the front of my car)

*The majority of my experience with this situation has been of 2 lane motorways, so I rarely get to experience the horrors of the middle lane hoggers

It's not just to pick on someone it is because the OP was sitting in the overtaking lane despite many occasions to pull in. They admitted themselves that they were hogging the overtaking lane.

The driver in the video who was switching lanes erratically is also getting criticised but if the dashcam driver does something wrong themselves then they are also worthy of receiving criticism.
