What is this registration plate?

    Just curious - it doesn't look familiar. I don't think it's France but it looks a bit like it.
    It's blue and the writing is yellow (sorry for the pic quality).

    According to this it isn't a European number plate

    Some sort of diplomatic plate I'd say. A French diplomat maybe, French ambassador?

    CD is Corps Diplomatique.
    Embassy vehicle.

    Yep could be a French plate for a diplomat's car. CD stands fro Corps diplomatique.

    They only have Diplomatic Status in the country the plate is issued in.

    Only Irish Registered Vehicles with CD plates have full Diplomatic status in the Republic of Ireland:

    Similarly Dutch Issued CD Plates only have full Diplomatic status in the Netherlands.
