Hyundai trajet - reconditioned alternator query

looking to get the alternator reconditioned in a hyundai trajet 2l diesel crdi automatic. the alternator looks accessible from the engine bay but do you guys know how difficult it would be to replace? i've talked to a few repair shops and they were unsure. also, any tips on the best value to get the alternator…

As far as I remember it comes out from the top, but turbo return line must be disconnected from underneath to get to the long bolt of the alt mounting. Its doable diy.
