Car with High Seat : SX4, Duster, Alternatives ?

Retired couple looking to replace a 2010 VW Polo because they are finding it more difficult to get in & out of the low seat. They also find the Polo too small in the back seat for adult passengers. Looking at Suzuki SX4 Crossover and Dacia Duster 2WD. Nissan Juke too radical looking. Considered Skoda Yeti but surprised at the high price. Budget ~ 16-20K list price for new car or 8-10K Trade Up price. Interested in hearing other suggestions.

A Toyota Auris has you sitting fairly high and it doesn't have a big car feel. Acres of space in all 5 seats too.

It's basically a Nissan Juke but not as fugly:

Ford C Max is fairly high too. Decent enough car. But I think the Duster looks good too.

Friend of mine looked a the Yeti - lovely car, but terribly expensive.

My parents had similar requirements when buying their last car. They tried a few and settled on a Ford Focus C-Max. They tried a Peugeot 3008 before that, but it seems to be impossible to get in and out of it without banging your head on the A pillar.

They've had the C-Max for 4 years now and still like it.

If you're looking at the C-Max you could do worse than to take a look at the Mazda 5 too. I've had quite a few elderly people and not very mobile friends and relatives in mine and they've all found it to be very accessible. Sliding rear doors are very handy for access to the rear seats too.

Hyundai ix20. High seating position. Small on the outside and very spacious inside.
