    Hi..
We're getting married next year. We want a civil ceremony & a meal with immediate family & close friends. Then a party/afters where we invite lots of friends & family. We're going to see the anglers rest & it looks perfect, especially as we can do the whole lot there but there's no accommodation. Anywhere near Dublin/Clare/Galway would suit best. Budget is a consideration & we like low key relaxed atmosphere (e.g. we will specify people can wear what they like, friends are doing so, the photos, the cake etc, it'll be a very chilled event with our 2 girls. Thanks for any suggestions. :-) <3

I've heard the anglers rest is great for weddings. We got married in the beau field mews in stillorgan. It's a restaurant so they can accommodate small numbers or a larger party. We used the stillorgan park hotel for accommodation as did a lot if the guests. We managed to negotiate a rate there and it's only across the road.

Gregans castle or No.1 pery square should suit you

Thank you gregans castle would be a dream venue, so beautiful & great food etc. We looked at it years ago (pre babies), probably way over budget but we'll see. Also I think dp might find it a bit posh for him. :-D:rolleyes:

The three towers in slieve aughey may suit. Great for kids too as they have lots of activities on site.

Eh..yes it would! That place looks like we dreamt it up & someone built it for us. I'm amazed I never heard of it. It looks just like a place in France we stayed in, if only we could guarantee weather. Thanks I'll check it out more when I've time. :)

So happy to hear that. Have been there myself and it's really gorgeous. If you're creative the room is a blank canvass to create nice decorations :)
