One Day Trips From Dublin To Other Countries - Any Suggestions?

I know this is kind of an awkward situation; but I'm trying to find trips I can go on that depart from Dublin's airport, fly to another country, and return to Dublin *before 7pm*.

I haven't been able to find a good way to search the various websites for such a thing, so I thought I might just ask.

For example - with Ryanair I can fly into Edinburgh or Glasgow in the morning and return in the afternoon. Home in time for dinner! London is another. I think it'd be possible to fly from Dublin to Stansted to Bremen, and then catch a flight from Breman to Dublin as well....but that's all I could come up with.

Does anyone know of any others that would be outside of the UK?

Amsterdam, Paris and Frankfurt all probably possible. AFAIK Ryanair run morning and evening flights to Madrid, Cologne and Rome too.

Thanks for all of the responses. I really appreciate it, trying to iron out the details still, but this really helps give me ideas of what to look at between Aer Lingus / Rynair / SkyScanner /etc

If you go to Skyscanner and enter Dublin as your departure airport but leave the destination blank, then enter the same outward and return date it'll give you loads of options.

For example it's possible to do Brussels return for €40 on January 28th. Or Barcelona for €82.

Might try a nice day trip to Brussels myself!

Yep, Paris & Edinburgh are goers in 1 day. I did them a few years back.

I remember considering Milan Bergamo airport with Ryanair once. Left around 6AM and came back at 9PM. Didn't do it though (it was only €39.99).

On Late Late last night O'Leary listed a few business destinations with flight times set up for day trips. There were 4 or 5 cities further afield than the UK where it was possible. Maybe check it out on RTE player see if anything takes your fancy!

Head to Brussels, get yourself a nice waffle, have a couple Belgium beers and see the sites around Grand Place. Nice wee day trip there.

Also Ryanair fly into the international airport now so good connections to/from the city centre.

There may be some airports you can fly into with one provider and out with another. 7pm makes things tight.
