Just as he said that 2 scheduled EI's landed on first approach to 17 at Cork.

Cork crews showing the differences between the men and the boys tonight.

Hope that comment is tongue in cheek!. There's a whole heap of difference in shooting an approach to your scheduled destination, with your alternate and reserve fuel (as well as possibly a bit extra) and picking an alternate when you have one shot only.

After this GLF6, that seems to be the last of the arrivals, can't see anything else on the radar

    any idea who owns it?

youd think seen as they left london in the last hour, they'd have known what to expect and perhaps have judged it perfectly.

Seeing as who is in it, hopefully a few go around's and a diversion.

Does anyone reckon if any of the diversions will come back tonight, or sit it out until tomorrow?

If the crews are within hours, they'll probably position the aircraft to wherever they're supposed to be for the morning at this stage in the game.

Anyone know why you can see cars and equipment at Gatwick?

They are called LEADER and WORK

I can remember back in Feb last year in the storms. Similar thing.

But I don't recall it lasting this long. But memory is a fickle thing.

Like tonight, you just have to admire the pilots' calm and professionalism. The pax are sh*tting themselves, and I could be one of them. We just feel the shakes and bumps, and woops and downs.

Up there in the pointy end are these pilots laid back like on a hammock, but so professional.

To me it's amazing, but to them they would say it's their job.

    Either way, hat's off.

dublin airport website are a disgrace, theres multiple planes diverted and all they have down is either delayed or due.

for example they have the lufthansa plane as due at 23.14, but its already in shannon. very poor and its the same for about 10+ other flights.

Just airfield maintenance and rescue vehicles. They are fitted with ADS-B transponders. You will see the same with DUB, DAAR15 , etc.
