Valdes says De Gea is currently best goalkeeper in the world.
Victor says he is not a problem, I presume this is a reference to false rumours he was to replace DDG.

Have to say as I watch the interview on MUTV, he comes across as a really nice person.

Yeah seems genuinely happy to be joining United and LVG seems like a father figure for him.. It's definately LVG who has him staying as No.2.

Always liked Valdes, excellent shot stopper and ball distribution. Only downside was loss of focus, but when Barcelona's outfield players have 75%+ possession you can hardly blame him for being restless. Thats not going to be an issue with United's defence :P (i kid).

Gutted when he announced he wasn't signing a new contract & then the injury. Good luck to him, hope he does well for you!

I think signing Valdes is good business for a couple of reasons.

He is Spanish and will know De Gea well and the should work well together.
He is a top class goalkeeper and should De Gea miss games through injury or suspension I would much rather have Valdes than Lindergaard.
Finally it will piss the scousers off as they need a keeper and they thought Valdes was going to them a couple of months back.

I'm happy to sign Valdes. Nothing to lose and he brings experience.

Another CL winner too with Juan Mata and Di Maria from past 4 years.

Valdes coming in means DDG is on his way. It's only a matter of when tbh.
