That is less to do with the quality of the thread and more to do with the quality of TSC's modding tbh.

He does a good job putting out fires before they start.

His job isn't made easier by comments like yours though, so if you really had some sympathy you'd try be somewhat constructive tbh.

Jesus I know how modding works and know what **** mods can cause. I was genuinely paying the man a compliment for being a good mod......

Not much talk of the Massive game on Sunday

Rumour has it that RVP is going to be dropped....
Di Maria and hopefully Mata surely to start
Think Rojo is available also. I would like to see both him and Smalling as CB's
Rafael is available I think but probably with a protective mask due to the fracture

Would love to see (from what we have available)

    De Gea
    Rafeal Smalling Rojo Jones
    Herrera Carrick Di Maria
    Mata
    Rooney Fal

Might be a bit of imbalance with Herrera on the Right but I still think he deserves to start, more like a diamond 4 with Mata leading and di Maria providing pace and width on the left

Two things I want rid of. Rooney in midfield and 3 at the back

It didn't seem like you were paying him a compliment, moreso taking another swipe at the thread, like you were doing yesterday, anyway, moving on.

Can't ****in wait till this transfer window is over, I love when we sign players, but good god because we splashed the cash in the summer we are going to be linked with every single person ever.

No actual compliment as twice he had to keep the thread functioning in a sane manner despite where it was getting ready to launch itself into a measuring contest. Not everything is sarcasm. I'll leave it at that.

    Wouldn't mind RvP dropped tbh.

That's what I thought. I thought he was on our laundry list of injuries.

He's only played for the United first team 5 times.

MK Dons this season (i missed the game and never watched it, so not going to comment). Came on as a second half sub vs Sunderland. I may be missremembering but I thought he did fine.

2 league cup ties in 12/13. Was good, imo, vs Newcastle and Chelsea in those games.

Other appearance was as a sub vs Alerdershot in 11/12.

Bar the MK Dons game, I don't think he was shocking in any appearance he has had.

Obviously he could be shocking in training in comparison to Blackaet and McNair. But based on the football I have seen from that lot for the reserves, youths and first team - i would say Keane and Thorpe are better than Blacket and McNair.

He was awful on the pre seaon tour of America. One of the only players that looked bad on the tour. Probably why LVG sold him.

Isn't Shaw meant to be in with a good shot too? Would be happy with that team, I'd image Evans would be picked at left back over Jones too, if it came to that.

Not sure, Shaw's injury was hamstring related I think? Open to correction. He was taken off at half time in the cup win.
No news on his availability as of yet.

    Reported in a few sources

    Telegraph

    Guardian

Fingers crossed, he missed the last Southampton game too iirc.

i think your right our midfield has not found him and falcao when they have at times been getting into good postions and making good runs the midfiled just not helping them at all

Maybe he is at the moment but I'm pretty certain earlier in the season he wasn't.

Really would love to see him given some sort of chance. I thought the fact he wasn't sent out on loan was for the first teams benefit.

He might as well move at this stage. he looks the type to go and have a good career.

Physioroom has him listed as having an ankle injury and no return date.

Prettysure I posted that earlier in the week as my prefered formation ( in relating to the midfield and front 2)

Would love to be right once on formations :D

But yeah, that midfield and front line is exactly how you incorporate Di Maria back in, and keep Mata in who has being doing well.

If someone had told me in early August 2012 that in just under 2.5 years time in January 2015, Manchester United would have Robin Van Persie, Victor Valdes, Radamel Falcao, Juan Mata and Angel Di Maria on the books, I would have asked "What are you smoking and why is my stuff not as good?" or "Which oil company bought the club?" But no one bought the club, gradually these players have come in and have been paid for with 'success' dollars.

We had a wipe-out of a season in 2013/14, the kind of season which prompted ABUs to claim and/or hope that this was the eventual demise of the United giant, that the club would now go and 'do a Liverpool', or even worse as some had hoped; do a Leeds. However, even after that toxic shíte-hape of a season which resulted in Champion's League exile, the best in the world still want to play for the club.

No major point here lads, I'm just stopping to smell the roses for the first time since April 2013. Still loads to be done of course but for some reason these last few days, I'm seeing the good things at the club over the flaws. I feel a bridge has been crossed and there is now some notable time separation and physical and tactical progression between now and the dark days of the failed Moyes project. The team mentality alone is a monster now compared to the mouse of last season. Finishing 3rd will be my own personal 'wahoo!' this season, F.A. Cup a bonus, anything less than 3rd will be a genuine missed opportunity.

Still very early days yet ,ye are in 3rd as much becasue of how bad every body else is doing as how good Utd are doing ,ye are a long way of the top two in Quality and the squad has had serious Money spent on it but look very lobsided.

Liverpool had their pick of people coming to the club for a good 10 years after their last league win ,it is a relatively new phenomen(8-10 years) that they have struggled to aquire the talent they wanted.

Liverpool had many false dawns between 1990 and now including a few years when they probably had the best eleven players but not the depth in squad or a good enough Manager to secure a win. There is every chance Utd could go through the same.

    de Gea.

Already one of the best goalkeepers in world football, and no doubt a huge favourite to every United fan. Goalkeeping is not what it was ten years ago. It is changing, especially so at the highest level of the game and the top keepers in the game are demonstrating a whole new skillset than that of the previous generation... David de Gea is amongst this new generation, and I've no doubt that he'll be revered by his own clubs supporters (and eventually those of rival teams) as one of the best in the world in the coming years. Even Bateman might admit he's not bad.

Whether or not that will be as a United player remains to be seen, and nearly everything that can be said about any proposed exit has already been said by others on here.

None of us really know what's gonna happen with him, we're all just interpreting facts in our own way. I think we can all agree that each poster on here would be devastated if he were to leave.

In fairness, he is not up to the level required, compare him to Varane who is the same age, no comparison

Varane is the best young centre-back in the world, you've over egged your argument bringing him into it.

Louis van Gaal on Victor Valdes:

"I am delighted Victor has signed for the club. Victor is a very experienced goalkeeper and his record speaks for itself."

"I have said on many occasions that Manchester United will always be interested in the best players."

"He joins the club as the number two goalkeeper." - Louis van Gaal

    .. And relax :)

I'm majorly concerned about 3-5-2 against Southampton
Would love the proposed formation also but its more got to do with LVG sticking to his guns, stubbornly so

Means nothing though in relation to De Gea leaving and what time frame that may or may not be. Of course he joins the club as no 2 goal keeper with De Gea still there.

Having said that I fully expect De Gea to be still with Utd next season.
