Hi guys, I want to put a small wooden shed out the back. At the moment there's just a plain piece of grass.

Whats the approach to take? Throw down some patio slaps, make sure they're level and put it on top? Or get a proper concrete foundation set up?

No need for a concrete foundation

Make sure the ground is well packed or you will get some settling later when the shed is in and you make struggle with the door.

Patio slabs should distribute the weight well but may leave the shed susceptible to splash-rot. Consider putting concrete blocks on top of the patio slabs to raise the shed slightly. I would have the slabs extend out beyond the walls of the shed and lay them edge to edge to keep grass/weeds at bay.

Make sure there is room to pass around all sides of the shed - for painting and ventilation purposes

6 concrete blocks at corner and centre points. If you don't like the gap, just put up skirting and apply same treatment as shed protection.
