My friend just had her wing mirror 'removed' from her beloved old polo. A truck passed her and something flew up from the road and took the mirror clean off and it was then driven over by a car behind her,so its destroyed.
She had trouble before getting replacement glass for the mirror as its a japanese import. Would it be as hard to find a complete mirror ?
    Thanks in advance.

Your local motor factor might have stick on mirror glass, flat glass is cheaper than convex but not so handy. I recently got a complete Polo mirror assembly from a guy in the UK through Ebay, the price was good and shipping low. It might be worth a look. I have no idea about the Japanese import bit though.

Thanks. Its the whole thing she needs so I'll tell her to look on eBay. I only mentioned it being an import because when she needed just the glass for it before, the mechanic said it was harder to source the same size/fit as the car was a Japanese import.
Mind you, the same girl once told me she thought passenger side wing mirrors were just there to make cars look symmetrical ! So I take anything she says about her car with a pinch of salt.

Stupid question maybe but why is the Jap mirror different?
