People look at these things before they manufacture them presumably?

I posted a pic of this that was in my kids playdough mountain thingy.
I do think a spirally ribbed cock like object is unsuitable for a 4 year old.

Of course in my pic I had my fingers looking like a pair of balls.

Lol, must laugh at the outraged parent claiming the toy ruined their Christmas. Seriously!!

People that work in marketing know these things will generate publicity good or bad.
It's completely inappropriate as a children's toy but marketing people know no boundaries.

It reminds me of the 2003 film, The Corporation where marketers took pride in how they were able to manipulate children into nagging their parents to buy some products.

Anything sexual and children is not going to have parents running to the toy store.

Ha, looks like it was designed by lovehoney.

That doesn't look like a penis or a dildo or a sex toy. It looks like a medicine syringe that calpol now provides in it's box. The only difference is that this play dough thing is fat to fit the play dough no doubt. And if you have a look at the top of the play dough syringe it has an opening and that will create a design with the play dough. Some parents it seems have very little to do but complain.

Article is 8 Weirdly Sexual Products You Won't Believe Are for Kids

I read the piece and it says its for squeezing icing onto a toy cake.

So it can look like a plastic piping bag that chefs use too.

Its only parents with the filty minds. Kids aren't going to look at it and say oh look a big plastic cock with twirly things around it.

I had a little giggle at the shape myself:P, but my 3 year old is blissfully unaware of what it does or doesn't resemble and just enjoys using it to decorate her play doh creations :)

"We have heard some consumer feedback about the extruder tool in the Play-Doh Cake Mountain Playset and are in the process of updating future Play-Doh products with a different tool," the spokesperson said.

    *Snigger*
In the circumstances you might want to rephrase that lads! :D

My kids have this playdoh set and I have to say I did notice the strange shaped syringe. No one else did though in the house :)

You could copy & paste that as a response to 99% of the threads on here to be fair. On the internet everything is the most outrageous & offensive thing ever. Try to keep up.

How would a four year old know what a spirally ribbed cock looks like?

They wouldn't, but mammy would...and wait till they go to sleep, then head for the jax to "test" if it really was..then post up their "outrage". While trying not to get all flushed..

    that's just pure sick.
the designers sitting there day after day from this company developing this and this is what they come up with.
i dont find it funny, i know if i was working on the floor or up in the offices i would say something.
it's pathetic that they could have formed anything and this is what they extrude for children.
sick ****ards, i have kids and because of this i am going to refuse to buy any of their products in the future.
    so **** you mr Doh

Looks like a number of parents told the makers where to stick it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 429 ✭✭IrlMonk

    Major mistake from this company,
i was walking through the aisles with my chislers and i intentionally by-passed their products because of this.
Sad, but that's the way business is today, not much thought for the consumers.
Bit of a joke all round for the way businesses threat consumers.
