Couple of warnings no bans, a good year, due to next years referendums though i doubt i will be able to say the same for 2015

Another blemish free year on boards for me as per usual, pity real life aint as simple :(
In the past year i reckon ive clocked up a fair few yellow cards, two definite reds, and one ban (el fenix bar, union quay cork city) thankfully the ban was only temprorary, and it was me in the wrong to be fair

A few yellows (5 I think), all in the same forum, some deserved, some the result of a mod on a self proclaimed power trip.

Don't forget to get yer report cards signed and back to the office by 7th Jan to avoid an automatic week long ban.

dannie gave me a yellow because I tried to ban him from AH. Didn't work :(

I had two warnings. same as last year. I always feel a bit guilty about them. Not because I didn't agree with what I was saying but because a mod had to take the time to go and look and warn. I've modded forums in the past and it's a boring irritating job. Some guy says something silly and you have to spend two minutes of your day telling him to rein it in.

Could have made it flawless but I got a very silly yellow and another silly red the other day for stating how lucky that traveller girl's brother is to have such a smart sister.

    Oh well.

I want to thank this but social protocol dictates I shouldn't.

Would it not be better to re-register rather than keep that record?

Why? there is no downside to having a list of bans / infractions as long as your arm, why lose your postcount?

Why is a post count important?

    You've made the correct decision.

On your profile go to Infractions. If there's nothing there I salute you.

Nothing! Squeaky clean since day one. I'm just too nice for my own good.

    3 Yellows
    1 Red

All in November. I must have been fierce trolly, that month!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,689 ✭✭✭Tombi!

None. Haven't had any so far.
Which is funny since I did get a warning earlier to stop arguing (I called the person a dick). Mod nipped it in the bud before it go more serious.

Two yellow and one red. I am childish, trollish and I attack posters not posts :D They seem to be all on roughly the same date each month.... bizzare :P

Would it not be better to re-register rather than keep that record?

Why? It's not like it actually matters. We're hardly going to be boasting about zero infractions on a CV :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,782 ✭✭✭✭RobertKK

    One infraction.
One infraction - reversed after appeal.
One warning - reversed by mod without having to ask.

So two red cards and a one yellow, with one red and one yellow rescinded.

Personally, (punish me you gits!) I think you'd need to be some sort of diplomatic drone of an idiot not to get infracted on this website.

I was here for 14 years before I got an infraction. But then I had a mid life crisis.

It's easy to avoid. Just don't participate in any argumentative threads beyond the first two or three pages - after which point, nothing original is ever said anyway.

The inverse is actually true. With a bit of subtlety and intelligence, It's easy to engage people in all ways and even take them down without having to resort to extra - charter stuff (not that I haven't been infractted before, mind you ).

Racking up a big list of cards and bans is just mugging yourself, to be honest
