Recording Saorview TV Programmes

I have saorview enabled TVs. I only have saorview. I want to be able to record TV programmes like I used to be able to do with the old video recorders. I need it to be user friendly so that an 80 year old can use it.

Please suggest options

The only Saorview approved recorder (PVR) is the Walker WP6500TTR

I have a Samsung TV that allows recording. It needs a USB hard disk attched - I use a lowpower one that gets its power through the USB port.

To record, select the programme from the EPG, press OK. and then select record or watch. It is not possible (as far as I can see) to watch one and record another.

To replay, there are a few options. Easiest is to use the Av button to select the USB device and play from that.

I am sure some eighty year-olds could manage that just as I am sure some thirty year-olds could not.
