This is a whole load of shíte in one post. Well played

A constructive reply would be great. The only time I seen carrick in the second half is when he was closed down by Kane and spurs nearly scored. What did carrick do in the second half absolutely nothing.

Our defenders have zero ability of playing the ball from back. Jones and Evans were dreadful in build up play. Hoofball rubbish.

This is a big problem. If we are playing with 3 centre backs we lose someone else further up the pitch which puts further onus on our defenders being able to pass. We dont have that.

Still, the quicker we get rid of 3 at the back the better. I detest it

The post just doesnt warrant it. The issue for us in this game was poor finishing. Should have had the game wrapped up early.

Jesus Christ the ref :( - I nearly threw the TV out the window ... not massively upset with the result - we really should have won it and it could have been 3-0 at half time. Ultimately 2 points dropped but still comfortably in 3rd tonight whatever happens.

Great to see Raf and Shaw coming back too!

Missed Fellaini badly today, nothing stuck up front in the 2nd half. Pure hoofball

Oh OK thats very good discussion. Ya we should have doesn't excuse the second half.

That must easily be Matas best performance in a Utd Jersey. I would have had him as motm.

Very disappointing second half. No pattern at all, ball up in the air more than on the deck. They looked tired tbh. First half they were fantastic.

Falcao looked knackered from the Middle of the first half and just couldn't get the ball to stick at all an was second to everything. Rooney played well, as did Young. Rafael was poor when he came on and offered no more than Valencia.

Carrick looked tired and lost the ball a couple of times in the second half in very dangerous areas.

Does feel like there were points left behind there again. Game could and should have been out of sight in the first half. To be fair Spurs came much more into it in the second half, but more hustle and bustle than anything.

A clean sheet is very nice and a draw at white Hart Lane is not to be sniffed at but Utd should have won that game.

I'd swear blind that Jones just puts his head down, hoofs it up the field and hopes for the best.

We've then got attacking midfielders dropping further back and then forwards dropping further back to try and build the play up.

Spurs pressing game in the second half really put us under pressure. Defenders can't handle playing the ball on the ground

Btw special mention for the ref who was awful. The yellow for Falcao was laughable.

Whaaa? I thought he was absolutely dire. Nothing stuck, he lost the ball everytime it went into him.

Maybe it's more a case of because he was visible, I felt he did ok, as opposed to RVP who disappeared for 90% of the game. Falcao was fighting for the ball. Showed a bit more than RVP so felt he did ok in relation to the other striker...

That game should of been done and dusted by half time! We where much better team for first 45 but seemed to die off in 2nd which could well of gave spurs the game!

Do have to feel we have dropped 4 points in games we should of won which would of made a huge difference!

He's right in that when teams press and get in the faces of the players, things quickly revert back to the same as last season.

Spurs should have snatched that and Falcao should have been given a rest.

Agree with it all. Our forwards probably won 2 or 3 headers at most from those hoofs all game. Its not like we even have the pace in behind to get onto long balls - this is something we have not had after Welbeck and Hernandez have gone and Rooney has dropped deeper. Its all into feet now

We need Angel Di Maria back pronto, Falcao should have been subbed he was like a ghost in the second half, stupid tv rights bs having to play so early, if there had been a training session they would have seen how burned out some of the players were, just not good enough.

I do see what you mean there but Falcao trying to get into the game just further highlighted how off he was. Not sure Falcao and RVP are not sure how to play with each other yet.

I feel if Rafael had of started over Valencia we would've had a more balanced attack.

Everything went wrong in front of goal today, but in saying that we did technically score and hit the woodwork.

    Mata was superb.

11 points from 27 is our away form this season. Arsenal, Liverpool, Spurs, Southampton, West Ham all better than us.

Thankfully our home form is very good but if the away performances continue like that, I can see top 4 being a struggle.

Should have won the game easily in the first half. RVP and Falcao missed 3 easy chances in the first half, Rooney's header, Young's brilliant shot, RVP and Mata's sitter in the second half. Those are all very good chances not just half chances.

For all the domination in the second half only chance Spurs created was one that fell to Mason.

Also in one of the interview Carrick mentioned how good Valencia is for team as he carries the ball 40-50 yards and relives pressure on others, today at least in the second half I thought team missed that.

Yeah he wasn't great but he ran his stones off. Running into channels, dropping back into midfield. He was even defending.

Having a back four who keep launching the ball into space for Falcao for him to chase doesn't help.

His work rate is very good, he really wants to impress which is good

Ya but Spurs are ever improving this season and being honest on another day we could have won that 2 or 3-0... main thing was that we didn't lose because Spurs would have went 4th with a win.

5 games unbeaten now for Spurs against us,we may cop on and get back to the days of 3 Point Lane.

Anyway,I called this as the trickiest of our Xmas/New Year games and in fairness we should have won easily but at least we didn't do something stupid after missing so many chances and lost it.

Who will make way for Di-Maria when he gets back? Mata doesn't deserve to be dropped. It should only be RVP or Falcao playing , Falcao isn't up to the pace of the EPL yet

Will be frustrating if Southampton get something from Chelsea here we should have 4 more points on them this month

Didn't think Rooney offered enough going forward in the second half.

It was a game made for Herrera and Fellaini we were outfought a bit in the second half.

    First half :)

    Second half :confused::rolleyes::o:(:mad:

I don't know what Falcao/RVP were at in the first half with taking touches when they could/should of been shooting and a great save from Lloris from Young's cross come shot it should of been a wrap in the first half.

And Southampton 1 up against Chelsea :(

Southampton won't be challenging for the top four come the end of the season. I'm cheering for them today.
