As a 'Pool fan I have to do it unfortunately, I don't want to be cheering on Sanchez!

That said Sterling is not a loyalty pick(I think) - he's due goals for the number of shots he gets in(albeit not a clinical finisher) and his new position as a midfielder playing as a forward since all the other out and out strikers being benched/injured/useless.

Think of it as an insurance policy! If Liverpool win then you are happy, if Arsenal win and Sanchez scores some points then its not all bad!

    Bench Siggy and play Sanchez!

I feared this would be the reply.....! It's the most ridiculous way to play the game imo but each to their own. If you're not looking to win any cash leagues etc I suppose it doesn't really matter.

I want Aston Villa to beat Man United 17-0 at the weekend. It would give me infinitely more satisfaction than an RVP hat trick but if United do score I want that scorer to be RVP. That's not cheering on Man United.

You have to put allegiances aside in this game.......

Forward line: Sakho(competition from Carroll), Kane, Pozo(C, in for Costa) - All set for a value for money big points haul! Good fixtures!

Sticking with Sterling even though he's not delivering he is playing up front, he scored two last night. Eriksen, Hazard and Sigi - going to bench Sanchez.

Defence: Fabianski, Clichy, O'Shea, Coleman(like Baines he's not delivering goals nor clean sheets)

Benching Sanchez.... Crazy by name.... :)

Made my FT early this GW, Forster to DDG

Seriously contemplating getting Liverpool coverage in --- only decent one is Sterling IMO.

Midfield - Hazard, Sanchez, Toure, Siggy & Boyd

    Forwards - Costa, Rooney, Boyd

To get Sterling in I either need to do

a - 4 of Hazard / Sanchez or Toure to Sterling

    or

a -8 of Rooney to Bony / Lukaku etc & Siggy to Sterling

I'd prefer the - 8 route but I'm struggling to justify a -8 for this!

Of my team - ideally i'll be moving on Rooney & Siggy next anyway as I prefer the other players in my team

In a quandry now about who to bring in for Siggy.
I have no Spurs or man City coverage. Options are, Silva, Nasri and Eriksen. I can afford Yaya as well but:
    a) I'd have no money left over
    b) I am nervous about him picking up his 5th Yellow

    Opinions?

What are people's thoughts on rooney? He's playing deeper last few games! Have Bony and costa up top. Don't have hazard so if I go rooney too sakho I can go tadic too hazard!
    Opinions please

I have Rooney and he is on my chopping list! Could be 2 GW's time

Soton's bubble has burst, lost last 5 in all comps. I would be looking to ship Tadic out ASAP if I was you

Hazard is not great away from home and has just 2 assists away from the Bridge all season. I think three of the next 4 are away.

LVG has stated that Rooney can play either up front or in midfield and that it's dependant on the opponents. I still think he'll score regularly enough regardless.

Sakho could have a bumper week against Leicester.

I'd ship Tadic, one gameweek wonder.

Tadic out for next game too. Time for me to finally dump him; most likely for silva

I'm thinking of 3 options this GW, all options I think are slightly insane!
1 -dump Austin and bring in Kane and make him captain
2 -dump Sig and bring in DiMaria (if fit)
3 - dump Bartley and bring in Davies(spurs) and play him instead of wisdom
4 - bank transfer and randomly pick a captain between costa, hazard, sanchez, eriksen. whilst playing wisdom against Austin
    headache!!!

    1.
    Austin next 4 fixtures
home to West Brom, Palace & Swansea
    away to Arsenal

    Kane next 4 fixtures
home to burnley, utd & chelsea
    away to Leicester

I would prefer Austin over these 4 games! Kane will not play all 4 IMO. Austin is guaranteed starter

    2.
I would go with this if I had the funds. Looking to ship Siggy out for Sterling tho. personally.

3 of Liverpools next 4 games are at home
3 of Utd's next 4 games are away

Di Maria won't play full 90 mins in those games (LVG and his away tactics)

    3.
See above. Nice 2 fixtures for Spurs but they are awful at defending (*have improved recently tho)

    4.
I wouldn't go for 1 or 3 and would do 2.!! Bank if you're comfortable at the minute!

1 is mental. Austin will play every minute for QPR, has better fixtures, is on pens.

2 is risky since ADM might not start

3 is risky since Rose is fit again

4 is what I would do and captain Sanchez from those four

nice post you've eased my worry on Austin.
I might bank transfer and wait until di Maria proves 100% fit and monitor other players like sterling, silva, etc
option 3 davies rotates perfectly with my defenders and I rate him as a FF assister but I might just wait until I know for sure he has nailed his spot and spurs start defending decent

I was thinking about him but thinking now I'll go to a City midfielder and hold out on Sterling.

Have the funds for RVP this week but something is telling me to get Carroll for a one week punt.

    Carroll - Lei (H)
    RVP - Villa (A)

Madness? Plan would be to go to RVP the following week

I'm thinking of getting sterling over a city mid this week and waiting to see what way city line up. Due to the spacing out of Liverpool's fixtures over Xmas there's a better chance of their players not being rotated as much.

  • Might just do a real boring one and swap JOSH for Yun.

Have only played JOSH on the 'correct' weekends for him so far though! Hoping Bartley gets pulled up 0.1m for January Wildcard too.

Also, why on earth did I choose Rodwell as my cheapy mid? How am I supposed to get rid?

I'm very indecisive this week to be honest. This thought also crossed my mind. Arsenal haven't looked good at the back and Liverpool are creating chances, Sterling just didn't put them away last weekend.

gone for silva in and siggy out this week, nearly banked it but didnt wanna leave out a city player incase they cut loose

If I hadn't gotten RVP in on Sunday I might well be considering Carroll in and captaining but I think the kneejerk might pay off in the medium term :pac:

Im going Sterling over Silva and holding out on City with just Zab, I will strongly consider Jovetic for the game after if he's fit.

Nasri was a disaster for me this time last year and I never seem to own Silva when hes in the points plus his goals are so rare. Not convinced either that Yaya at 10.8m is commensurate value over Sterling at 8.3m

    You gonna captain RVP?

I knee-jerked as well and got him in. The majority of my carefully planned transfers weren't working out so I thought **** it, bought him in, and have him captained.

Will be eyeing up either Sterling or Silva as Siggy replacements.

No idea yet :o Could be any one of RVP, Sanchez, Hazard or Austin yet. Bony might finally unleash his wrath on Hull too

I think carroll is a great option this week and getting him in and giving him the armband is something I'm also considering
