What City coverage do people have or looking to bring in? I have Yaya but may bring in 2 more this week.

I don't currently have any, I'm thinking of Silva and Zab this week.

Does anyone still have baines in their side or is it time to get rid ?

I don't see why I have to get rid of him to be honest. I am sitting in 3k Overall and 4.2m in the bank. I'll probably upgrade a cheap defender to a chelsea/Man City one and still have 2-3m left over to upgrade a Midfielder (siggy to Nasri/Silva) most likely. After that I don't see any improvements to make tbh.
If I'm needing cash i would rather Downgrade Rooney/Costa to Bony, Giroud etc.

Baines is still on Pens, gets forward and assists a lot and Everton will keep some clean sheets. On the weeks where he scores a penalty he will produce big differential points for me so i will just keep the faith over Xmas.

Can the 10th most owned player in the game really be called a differential?

He will be if everyone sells him :pac:
Just checeked FFix there, he is actually still owned by 558 of the top 1000 teams...

None but only options are Silva or Nasri this week, likely Nasri as I think he is more likely to score.

I'd like a defender but not sure I'm totally confident about any of them

    Guzan

    Taylor, Dummett, Ivanovic.

    Sanchez, Toure, Downing, Hazard.

    Kane, RVP, Bony.

I upgraded to Hart last week and will be bringing in Dimichelis tonight. Probably won't start Dimichelis this weekend though as I'm very happy with my backline's fixtures this week.

    Why bring him in so?

Eyeing up Nasri, Silva or Eriksen in for Mirallas at -4.

If he didn't get injured I'd have been tempted to keep him with Southampton not having a midfield on top of their now non existent form

Just have Clichy as of now. Will more than likely be bringing in 1 more (possibly 2) for GW19. Jovetic if he's fit by then will be ideal, otherwise I'm not sure yet, who plays GW18 and for how long might give clues as to who's likely to start for GW19

Many fellas have Fab & Hazard Combo and for long? Giving it serious consideration

I've had them both for 5 or 6 game weeks. Fabregas has more often than not delivered in away games when hazard has blanked. I'll be sticking with them for the foreseeable future.

Well at least Azpi had his nap.

    Jose
“I don’t think one player is going to play these six matches. Every one of them has to go to five, one rest I think I have to give them. We did that against Sporting, we gave a rest to some players, and we’re going to do this from now until the end of the month. We have two days off, which is the two days after Derby, which allows the players to go home. It’s the only two days I can give them. We play Tuesday against Derby, I give them Wednesday and Thursday, after that they are back Friday to play Monday.”

Lads what do you make of Boyd/ Welbeck to Kane/Barkley??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,237 ✭✭✭qwabercd

Was gonna bank but my time is a bit weak this week. Swansea have 3 of the next 4 away whereas city have 3 of 4 at home so I'll do Siggy out for either yaya or silva. Got rid of siggy and brought him back at the wrong time. Also had him benched for GW1. And me harping on about him all preseason!

Barkley is too inconsistent to be a good fpl player i.mo.

Kane could be a decent punt, but i'd be loking at one of Siggy/Downing instead of Barkley

Have 8.5 mil to spare on a striker, already have Costa and Bony.

Would love to take a punt on Jovetic!!!!!
But reckon Austin/Sakho/Giroud are the ones to concentrate on?

I suppose I technically don't have to. I'd be a bit annoyed if Dimichelis goes up in value, but looking at FFFix, it looks as if I'll be safe. Could just bank it this week.

Yeah I've had Siggy from the start . My midfield is up in the air a bit since ditching fab for yaya.

Anyone here think Welbeck is worth keeping? I've had him since he signed as his returns haven't been good enough

Starting to re(over)think my City defender of choice. Demichelis is a safe option, but Zab is way cooler! I'm wondering what the chances are Zab, having been rested will come back into the team from now till the FA Cup with Sagna given another run then.

With the attacking options limited he may be even more liable to roam forward against these weaker teams for a goal or assist.

I'm thinking possible with the main man Kompany out Pel may want to have one of his tried and trusted defenders on the field in his absence, and thus he may have slightly less chance of rotation. I'd say Kolarov will probably get a run this week, and maybe another GW over Xmas too, that may be enough chopping and changing of a weakened defence for Pel?

Is it just the wishful thinking hipster in me?

most likely outcome i.m.o. is Kolarov and Sagna play GW19, otherwise 1st choice ie. Clichy/Zab are starting

Def don't think he'll swap both FBs at the same time. Kolarov was due a game last week but he only made 1 change.

Sagna has had far less runs in place of Zab in the league this year (Leicester was only his third league start in 16) than the Clichy/Kolarov combo last year. He's more backup than rotation.

I think it's possible that Zab could play all. Clichy definitely won't. In fact id be surprised if Kolarov doesn't play 2 starting this weekend and gw19 possibly.

I would go Zabaleta if money is no issue; he's already been rested and has best attacking return potential. Unfortunately, it looks like I'll be 0.1m short next week unless Boyd somehow manages to rise before Sat. I'm eyeing up Demichelis over Mangala but am worried about him starting two matches in 48 hours.

    combned with this
Chelsea team to face Derby County: Cech; Azpilicueta, Zouma, Terry (c), Filipe Luis; Mikel, Matic; Schurrle, Fabregas, Hazard; Drogba. #CFC
Ivanovic, Ramires & Rémy to sub in.

would suggest Diego Costa, Oscar, Fabregas, Willian, Azpi, Cahill and Ivanovic are in contention to play the 4 PL games of the festive period.

If Mourinho is to be believed neither Hazard nor Terry will play all 4. They were the 2 ones I was expecting to :(...

Forward line: Sakho(competition from Carroll), Kane, Pozo(C, in for Costa) - All set for a value for money big points haul! Good fixtures!

Sticking with Sterling even though he's not delivering he is playing up front, he scored two last night. Eriksen, Hazard and Sigi - going to bench Sanchez.

Defence: Fabianski, Clichy, O'Shea, Coleman(like Baines he's not delivering goals nor clean sheets)

    Please say you're joking....?

He has averaged 9 points per game since GW8.

He's playing Liverpool. Brad Jones or Mignolet? Lovren and so on so forth
