I have seen diesel go from 142 to 129 in one particular station over the last couple of months.

    Long may it continue.

The lag between refinery and pumps is always noted as the reason for prices not reducing as quick as it seems they should but yet all it takes for an overnight price increase is a news story on reduced oil production or a report stating that barrel prices may increase in future.

There are two prices, Futures & spot, the spot price is for oil delivered now and the futures price is for about a month ahead.

Price of oil down over 44% now since June and below $60 a barrel. Anyone noticed any falls in the last week or so in petrol prices?

Two price reductions in the Topaz beside me this week, from 142.9 to 140.9, and then down to 138.9 a couple of days later.

Does anyone know why the euro has dropped so much to the dollar? I don't follow that stuff too closely, but I looked and all of a sudden it was 1 eur = 1.24 usd; the last time I checked it was like 1 eur = 1.32 usd.
