Save database in msql

Hi,
I have created a database with tables in mysql workbench,everytime i save it and shut down the computer- when i reopen it the information in the table rows is gone?

Could someone tell me how to save properly please in workbench 6.1

Yes, i mean i export to self contained file or the dump. But when i import i get tables without the values in the rows- but they have the table name and column names saved

When you've entered your records are you clicking "apply changes to data"?

I'd say thats the problem, i never clicked apply changes. But i cannot find that icon on mysql workbench 6

You'll see two buttons apply and revert. Mightn't do any harm to read / watch an SQL primer.
