They seem to get good mention on gizchina. I got a code a few weeks back for a meizu 4 from one of the admin on site. Didn't get the phone in the end.
I just bought the zp999 so hoping they're ok :)

They're probably no sketchier than the other resellers. That much phone for that price is worth a punt. Probably best not to hang around, that code probably won't stay valid forever. My wife and my brother have both been giving the Mi3 admiring glances, so it'll go to a good home!

Wow a good looking Huawei at last, and one of the best looking phones Ive ever seen to be honest

It caught my eye as well, great features with a 4100mAh powerpack ......sweet phone

I have had my Jiayu G4 a year now, and I can honestly say I still love it. I don't think I've had a single app that hasn't worked well. Dual sim has been really helpful on my travels too.

Only thing I can fault it for is GPS; location services hardly ever work. Even on wi-fi sometimes.

But overall still very happy. Was thinking of changing it soon, but I really don't have any need to actually.

It might be handy if you have a slippy phone,I'm gonna pass on the drop test though.

My WMC is still going strong, although I still get questions about it.My mates just know 3 brands of phone even though mine puts most of them in the ha'penny place and only cost €84 on an offer from Pandawill.

Has anyone ever installed Cyanogen mod on their phone or what ROM would you recommend?

My phone is a Lenovo a806.

    20140829174351udg5rhf.jpg

Hoping to get rid of the default system Lenovo ROM as it is full of horrible bloatware and then install a bog standard Android Rom (suitable for 4.4.2) that would give me more freedom. I actually love the standard Android rom that you come across in most devices.

Only to a Galaxy S3, which has official Cyanogenmod support. I don't think there's even an unofficial version for your Lenovo. Have a look on XDA and needrom.

The AOSP ROM comes pre-rooted and with gapps installed, so you should be pretty much good to go straightaway with it

    Hey guys,

What are the sites that have E.U warehouses?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,576 ✭✭✭pajor

    Hey guys,

What are the sites that have E.U warehouses?

    Merimobiles is one.

    Their selection isn't great though.

Edit: Doing an EU/UK only search on eBay can get some good results.

I've seen this in the Bargain Alerts and Android forums. http://www.ebay.ie/itm/5-Landvo-L200G-4G-FDD-LTE-Android-4-4-Quad-Core-GPS-Mobile-Smart-Phone-Black-/281500794306?pt=UK_Mobile_Phones&hash=item418ac13dc2

Parcel Motel then for €3.95 postage.

I posted in the thread anyway, the screen size and resolution may mean you get decent use out of it :)

Lads my Iocean X7 HD just died :(. She was working fine, and then went to charge it and she'd dead as a doornail. No warning nothing, wasn't even near it at the time. Any suggestions to fix or shall I just send her to smartphone heaven peacefully. :D:D

I think I got it about June/July this year, never had any problems before now. The only thing I did recently was update the launcher to Google now, but that was working fine before hand.

Always worth trying to re-flash it at least.

How can I flash a phone when I've no life in it at all? Am I being thick (probably :D).

It might be beyond help, but if you take the battery out and plug the phone in without the battery in it, does it show any signs of life at all ?

Leave the battery out of it for a good while, and then put it back in and try charging it (leave it a long time to charge too without pressing any buttons etc.)

    Thanks Eamonnq I'll try that.

    http://www.merimobiles.com/xiaomi-5v-2a-10400mah-power-bank-for-smartphone-tablet_p/meri8548.htm

Thinking about giving them out as Christmas presents this year as I cant think of anything else.

@Thargor - jokes aside, the 10,400 MAh one seems to be pretty good from this review - http://unleashthephones.com/2014/09/11/xiaomi-mi-power-bank-review-10400-mah/

I use one of the xiaomi battery packs as my main emergency charger.
It is nicely designed and works well. Will charge fast also.
Main benefit is it allows power pass through, you can plug in the battery pack to the mains and your phone into the battery pack. It'll charge the phone and then the battery pack.

Beware that like with most xiaomi accessories there are numerous fake and fake-fake copies. Some of the counterfeit gear looks exactly like the originals. Quality of components will vary greatly. Cheap batteries and explosions are not worth the risk. Buy from one of the larger xiaomi dealers like ibuygou rather than eBay.
