I met this guy in America while I was there one summer, he was Canadian and we got on really well and stayed in touch. We got very close, over long chats on msn, for years, and I suppose it was easier to talk to him considering he lived in my computer. anyway, we got really close, he told me he had feelings for me, and booked a trip to Ireland when he was drunk one night. For a few days later. I panicked, it had all happened way too fast for me, and when he came to ireland, I wouldn't meet him. That was probably the most horrible thing I've ever done.

Are you surprised that he stayed friends with me?

Meh...why do he make rush decision when drunk!!

Would you normally stay in touch with people or just not bother

I'm a just don't bother type myself. Bar 3 or 4 people, I've completely and totally swapped my circle of friends many times over the years!

I'm surprised by what you consider too fast!
My probably one and only rule when it came to dating I imaginatively called the 3 date rule - if they aren't putting out by date number 3 there is no date number 4!

Do you have any rules to live by?

It was too fast because it went from someone that I never had to see and could confide in dumping his girlfriend and booking a trip straight away, it escalated quite fast. Slowly slowly catchy monkey.

Nope I unfortunately don't take that advice Tom.
