Ok, after completing a leaders course at work recently that outlined leadership qualities. I would have Brian o driscoll. Humble, passionate, works hard, confident, down to earth.

I don't know the guy personally, but he comes across as someone who resonates with me and who I'd like to aspire to.

This is probably sacrelig' coming from a man from Munster :pac:

Denis O'Brien. Not all there, ethically speaking, but I think he has an inspirational sense of drive and ambition, and he does a huge amount of philanthropic work that everyone likes to ignore, and many of us would not bother with if we were in his position.

We shouldn't ignore the Tribunal findings made against him either by the way, but he is absolutely vilified in a way that seems totally extreme.

I think plays a character in the media for publicist like Simon Cowell. Ryanair basically spent nothing on advertising for years, but constantly in the media thanks to Michael "views" and 'opinions' on controversial matters. AFAIK every year he speaks to Trinity students for free, as he went there.

Regardless of whether you like his character or not. He has turned a ****ty Irish airlines, into one of the largest airlines in the world. He supports thousands of jobs directly and makes Ireland affordable to get to for millions of tourists. He did it without bribing anyone like another famous Irish Business man. But he did it through hard work and determination.

    Eamon De Valera.

Helped to divide the country when we needed unity most.

    A backward leader also
I love the quote when the Ardnacrusha Hydroelectricity project was first proposed
"what would we need all that electricity for"

    Wasn't he American anyway?
