would my brodband upload speeds be any better if i changed back to eircom?

    i have a reasonable if not brilliant download speed on ADSL of 6mbps but the upload speed is an attrocious 315kbps thats not even half a mbps and youtube videos and other uploads are taking forever o complete!. - been in contact with my provider (vodafone at home broadband) but they said thats the most they can offer because im not in a -fibre area. Is that really the best upload speed i can expect honestly? - and if i changed to eircom would i get btter as at the end of the day its still and eircom phone line independent who my broadband provider is.
