I love surprise presents, something to unwrap that is a surprise. No vouchers or money for me. I also hate giving vouchers.

I LOVE vouchers. Last Christmas my parents gave us 200 euro in BT vouchers and we had it spent in a few minutes.:D

"How about I send you to Africa, sell the fcukan goat, and drink the money? That sounds much more productive to me. Happy Christmas! !" :)

Last year my dad passed away so I didn't want to do christmas, didn't buy presents or anything but in the new year, my best friend brought me the presents he had got me, and it was like two pairs of Jammies, Winnie the pooh ones and ones with cows on them, fluffy socks, perfume, jellybeans, shower stuff ect, basically all my favourite things in the world, and it was probably one of the best presents ever. Like a giant collection of happy things

My ol' Pop died last year too Lexie-san, at the age of 82. We still give it the full Valhalla, 'cos that's what he's doing. ;)

Are you guys doing Xmas this year? I said I would, but I'm not really feeling it now that the time is here. Seeing all the Christmas trees and junk is making me sad so i don't think I'll bother with it this year. Maybe I will next year.

I don't know what to buy the OH for Christmas, and she refuses to tell me what she wants, but I know if I get the wrong thing, there'll be a face on...so f.ucking tell me what you want then! :(

Amazon wish list is the way to go. That's what Mr Pumpkinseeds and I do. Throughout the year we add stuff to the list and it's very handy for Christmas, birthdays and anniversaries. We can shop around and find the best prices and we know that we're getting each other gifts that we really want. :)

This pisses me off on so many levels. It isn't a gift, it's an arrogant way of saying 'look how wonderful I am'. Also, more than anything it pisses me off that they're shipping live animals from Ireland to Africa. That's horrendous for the animals and I can't see why they can't just source the animals from countries that are closer to Africa and any other country they're shipping them to, I think Hungary/Romania are the latest additions to the list. It would save the hardship of travel to the animals and it can't be cheap to ship them from Ireland to Africa either.

Famous rappers who've released over 20 albums each over the years yet you can't buy any of their CDs in the shops e.g. Too $hort, Spice1.

I hear the PC brigade are changing it to African American Friday.

That is such a cheap gag.

Of the rappers who you would expect to have their full catalogue in a shop, I found it difficult to find a 2Pac album (Strictly 4 My ... ). It must have been a couple of years I was looking across different continents. I eventually just got it online.

In sixth class we collected money around lent to send a goat to Africa. Oh god, I got so excited about this goat. Not even a photo of the poor bastard once it got to its new family, and me putting my pocket money and any money I got into the goat box. You'd wonder!

My TA is not being able to go to the bathroom in peace. The love of my life (an almost 2 year old) is fascinated with people in the bathroom. She has to be overseeing the entire proceedings, and it gives me stage fright.

Also my dog, the baby, comes to bathroom with me, watches me while I shower and sits by my legs if I'm at the toilet. He barks and scratches the door if I lock him out.

God be with the days when it was peaceful

The beard/mohican phenomenon needs to stop now. Looks like he went ten rounds with a lawnmower.

Annnd this, what kind of a masochist watches this stuff? 150 million odd views?

I'm annoyed at myself for snorting at the end, it lives up to it's name. I hate when I get sent something like that - "You remind me of the apple"...

I always feel sorry for the poor animals in those scenarios. Being shipped alive long distances in God knows what kind of conditions and then probably being slaughtered inhumanely as soon as it arrives at it's destination. I know the idea is that they keep them for milk or whatever but does anyone really believe that? Come off it. Imagine you're starving and someone says, "well you can have a steak now or a glass of milk every day for the next year" - how does one possibly decide?

When I'm walking with the kids, with the youngest in the buggy and the older two on scooters, I have trained the oldest two to scoot in along the inside of any path we are on so that people are able to pass us. When we see people up ahead, they will generally fall in and we pass single file. It's like a finely honed piece of coreography at this stage!

So, if you see if us coming, you would expect the person coming towards us to pop out and pass us on the outside, not because I have any more right than they have to pass on the inside but just because its easier for all concerned and makes sense. Well, some bint yesterday evening clearly did not agree and come hell or high water she was passing on the inside. She pushed by us all muttering and giving out:rolleyes:

I was wondering whether it might have been one of you lot on this thread who hate other people's kids!!!!:D;)

Or you know, when you take them to task and say "you are being rude". You hear, "Oh I am not rude, it;s just the way I am.., my manner"

"No, you are a rude fcuker who has been allowed get it away with it!! Change your manner"

I deal with customers from....another country....every day, and one last week was giving off about how all foreigners are horrible and this and that and I was great for helping him. I took great amusement in telling him that I, myself, am a foreigner to him.

Ah it was tongue in cheek but you can't deny there can be a bit of an anti-kids undercurrent at times in the thread, which I get, up to a point!! I'd the first to give out about badly behaved kids though but some of the stuff I read from one or two posters leaves me a bit :rolleyes::(! Not you btw!!

I don't think describing people who don't tolerate kids who race around unsupervised, in supermarkets, restaurants ect as "disliking" other people's kids.

I'd go as far as saying those parents dislike their own kids because they don't seem to care what they're doing or where they're treating as a playground.

Also parents who assume that it's safe and other peoples responsibility to watch small kids who play on the roads into estates

I have to pass a school to exit my housing estate, so being stuff in traffic due to random U-turners and kids being around are part and parcel of living where I live.

However, on my actual road, I've almost gotten a heart attack multiple times. They run out in front me when I'm driving in, completely oblivious to the dangers around them. And at night during the summer months, they play on the road, but really loudly. I'm often inside and am unsure if they're just playing or being brutally murdered.

Sorry Lex, I know I've mentioned this a few times on thread now......it's just one of those yarns that's stuck in my head.
