ESB Graduate Programme

I am thinking of applying to the ESB grad programme its to go on for 3 years and has a number of grad programme streams. I am between the IT and marketing one. Has anyone applied to the programme or applied to it before? How did you find interview/grad programme? For business grads woud they need to have a certain knowledge about the industry?

Hi, i applied and did the online test but have not got called for an interview yet, did you?

No, I have not heard from them since completing tests and I haven't been called at all.

Did you get this confirmation email after completing the online test

We confirm that you have now completed all 4 assessments for the ESB graduate role and your results have been saved on our system.

You can expect to hear from us after the application process closes on Friday 24th October.

That's as much as I've heard from since completing the tests.

Hopefully we will hear back on results by next week.

They rang me a two days ago giving me an interview date if that is of any use to you, i'm in a different stream though.

I am in the electrical stream myself. Interviews began last Monday (17th), and as far as I know that was for all streams. They are still ongoing though at the moment as far as I know, but I think I was given about 5 days notice before my interview!

Yeah, I wasn't all that hopeful, didn't think I did great in the tests. I have interviews for a couple of other programmes though so hopefully they work out!

I've applied for the marketing stream as well. Will we hear back either way i wonder? Is there any assessment center or in it just a normal interview?

I am not sure I assume once you hear you successful from them its an interview/assessment. I haven't heard from them yet whether successful or not. I've heard back from other grad programmes and not this one.

Oh right. That's a long wait to hear back. Usually give them 2-4 weeks if not heard back I'd get in contact with them even to get feedback if they give it, if not after 4 weeks then it be a bit insincere if they didn't acknowledge you doing interview. Did they send you an acknowledgment email?

It went ok. They really put you through your paces with the competency based questions and they really want to hear about how you applied your skilled previously to marketing problems!
