    Tayto.....seriously?
Do people actually crave tayto abroad?

Seriously Yes ,well that was my experience ,
Always remember in Holland sharing a house with 6 others Irish lads and every time a parcel arrived from home for any of us its was the taytos that were like gold dust ...:D

I agree, Love/Hate boxset would be a brilliant present.

    And teabags.

If they want Tayto that badly they can just burn some slices of potato and throw them in a bag of flour.

I like the idea of a box set of an Irish TV series as mentioned above. Father Ted, or Love/Hate would be good options.

Your views on the Taytos is shocking :pac:

If they miss Irish TV that much they can put those flour covered burn slices of potato into their eyes ..... much the same really...

PS is Father Ted Irish made????

Buy them a 12 month VPN subscription so they can watch Irish and UK TV online, also give them your skygo password.

Every year my sister gets from me

A piece of Nicholas Mosse pottery, she is an avid collector
    A tin of cadburys biscuits
A bag 240 tea bags fom Aldi

I always buy it in Mosses and bring in biscuits and tea bags and they ship it for 20 quid,

If they are in Oz don't send them any turf either, I nearly got someone arrested a few years back.

It all depends where they are.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

Pretty sure it is on Hulu. Not the teabags though.

Simone Walsh prints or placemats. Can buy them on line and posted internationally or in Kilkenny design. They are paintings of irish food items.
Postage is so expensive for parcels so keep an eye on weight.

indeed, and they'll most likely compare the puny charges in Ireland to what they pay abroad (possibly on top of very substantial council tax) and also consider the reaction in Ireland a pure joke.

but seriously, if they are only just gone abroad then they could well not be pining for all that much in the way of food or whatnot (and may be able to get tayto/ cadburys or barrys tea where they are), but maybe send out a DVD of something irish like say Father Ted or something else along those lines that they might like and is a present for more than just christmas.

I dunno - Irish Water is charging 4x the amount I paid abroad. And VAT is twice as high. And income tax is off the chart :)

So I guess it just depends on where they're off to.
