Kosher salt sockist

    Hi Everyone,

    Does anyone know where I can get Kosher salt in Dublin's city center (preferably around the Grafton street area)

    I've tried googling and ringing around a few health shops however no one seems to stock it. Its not for me however a gift for an aspiring chef ;-)

    Maldon seasalt would be a good alternative, but bear in mind kosher salt is just a large grained salt, which is widely available though not necessarily labelled 'kosher'.

    Yes, it's just coarse grained salt, not necessarily anything special. They have a bog standard coarse salt in Lidl but that may not quite fit the 'gift' requirement :)

    There is an extremely small jewish community in Ireland and AFAIK pretty much any kosher food they eat is mail order from the UK. My religion teacher when I was in school tried to buy kosher food in Ireland, but couldnt find any.

    OP Maldon salt is the closest thing to it. Salt is salt at the end of the day and it doesnt matter if its from Lidl or 3 times the price from Dunnes
