The legal professionals in Carrigstown are a strange lot. No only do they make house-calls, they carry cheques for large amounts in their briefcases, and neglect to tell their clients beforehand that there might be monies owed against a will.
When I was left a (very) small amount of money years ago, it took weeks to get the cheque from the solicitors.

Yeah and they don't call to your house do they???

You usually have to call to their office surely?

Same with Paul's solicitor - she calls to his house to sort out the separation..... Weird:confused::confused:

Fair City and the real world are two very different things.
In Fair City you have your breakfast, lunch and dinner out nearly every day. Pints at lunchtime and most evenings. Do all your grocery shopping in the local corner shop. Not one resident of Carraigstown owns a kettle.

You can do all your grocery shopping and you don't need a kettle at home when you eat all your meals out. Only groceries would be some snacks for after the pub. Soaps always do that, then they complain about being broke. Jo said the other week they're lucky to have €10 left at the end of the week. Stop eating out every day, buying groceries for 4 in the local shop and spending so much time and money in the pub. They would have to pay babysitter for the kids while they're in the pub as well.

I think Bela as an old aged pensioner being constantly in the Bistro is one of the most unlikely ones, not unless Yvonne is providing him with free drinks and meals :)

Jeez, I hope Dan and Cardle admit to Yvonne quicker than it took Louise to get her money off Mondo. I can't take much more of this nonsense story.

What is it with half of Carrickstown wearing black all the time? It's like one big funeral.

The thing about stories that aren't thought out.

If Jane had stayed in the family home after the premature death of her hubby - she would've kept the house and her son.

As it stands she suckered Paul out of 50k - he got 10k back - she inherited 11k (plus change) so she's a grand up combine that with the widows pension, the job in McCoy's - well she's not doing so bad. Is she?

Another one; You plan your wedding for new year's day (lovely) the venue falls through so you ask your ex to help find another - only your divorce isn't final yet? Eh it's about 7 weeks to your wedding don't you think you'd have that sorted before picking dates with your new fiancee?

I'm also surprised that the divorce hasn't been sorted out yet... Sometimes tells me it's not going to be as straight - forward as just signing the papers. ;-)

Where is this bloody hotel that Jackie is supposed to own. She spends all her time in Carrigstown. Does she run the hotel by remote control?
So Doug is gone from being a chief mechanic in Portlaoise to being a shop attendant in a hardware store that doesn't have any customer. Its been open for months now and the only sale has been three euro for a bottle of bleach for Stripey. (who, by the way, hasn't been seen for weeks now). That must be great bleach!

I've always said that! Yvonne in particular is black from head to toe and her utterly annoying voice, she can't pronounce the letter 'T'. She is wall to wall doing radio & tv voiceovers these days, just can't get away from her :(

I feel sorry for Callum. He really lucked out on the parent front, didn't he?!

I wonder is Zoe going to develop a crush on him now after this? That's the feeling I got last night anyway.

Yes, the way she pronounces words like 'late' is very annoying : it ends up sounding something like 'layssssss'.

She was bringing him over to Jo & Dermot's there last week to play with Ben & Zoe. Bit ridiculous seeing as he is a toddler & they are like,11?? Would she not bring him to play with Ruthie?
Or maybe spend some time with him herself instead!

Actually is the poor little fella even talking yet coz we've never heard him utter a word! Very strange for a toddler, mine never shuts up!

The adoption drama was in 2008 when he was still a baby
Edit: so maybe the line was 'a seven year old child' yadda yadda
