This is my third day off work sick, mentally I don't know how to get through another day with so little to do, and barely being able to move.

I will take on board all suggestions please.

I've watched nearly all the remaining episodes of the programme I'm following,iI've read nearly all of boards, I've looked at all the jobs, I'm reading a book but I don't think I have the concentration to read the rest of it in one go.

    Help

All of boards? Including the hidden sections known only to the few?

Learn to knit or crochet. I am not kidding.. I am disabled and old and handwork is a huge blessing.

Spend the day pretending to be a Crocodile snarling at people and dragging them into death rolls.

Not the literal all, the figurative all. I would like access to the hidden forums, but I don't know who to ask :(

I finally finished the first series Monday. Onto the second now, and I'm trying to slow down so I don't completely run out of episodes. Also have to start on the second series of the fall.

Sci fi would really not be my thing, but yes I may give the IT crowd a go. Thanks

And because of the penguin post I am going to look at YouTube videos of hedgehogs, penguins, mice, and other such delights.

    Fap for the day.

Don't stop until you've pulled the stomach out of yourself.

Then you really will be a lucky wánker

Wha? I regularly take days off to do absolutely nothing, infact I'm doing it right now! Wish I had your drive..

Attend a water charge protest or, failing that, set up one yourself.

    I believe it's a shlick when you're a female...?

Yeah but that's different. If I could get out and about, and do what I like, I'd be laughing. Well I wouldn't, as I'd still be bored after 3 days. I don't have drive at all. I think the age we live in has led me to have this feeling of having to be doing something all the time. Therefore, so little time not doing things is icky. If I could leave the house, I'd have loads of stuff done.

    From my bed / couch?

Forget knitting. You're sick, not prematurely aged. Reading is fine if you can concentrate while feeling unwell. TV seems to fill a gap for some but not my cup of tea all day. When you're sick it can be hard to spend any length of time on one activity and it can seem a long day. While down with flu a few years ago I just got the laptop out and started writing a story. I had no plan in mind, no idea what it would be about but many hours later I had an unfinished masterpiece. It's still unfinished and will have to wait until I'm sick again. It has been 10 years so I should have something to add. I used the exercise to remember characters through my life, sad events, funny moments, imagined events differently. Pure nonsense but I actually enjoyed it and it killed a couple of days.

Awh you should go back and finish it. Take a holiday day or two and do it.

I wouldn't be very creative at all, and wouldn't have much interest in writing. It would probably frustrate me more than anything.

I am looking at buying Christmas gifts online. One I've decided I want to call into the store and look at, preferably buy it instore too. But at least now I know what I'm getting. Another, it's a jersey for my nephew, so I need to just be sure it'll be the right size, so would also not like to buy online. 2nd nephew is next...

Holiday? I'm retired so haven't time to devote to it.😊

Good for you on the shopping brouse. You'll nhave Christmas all sorted before you know it. Sometimes you can use sick time to sort thoughts like presents out.
    Get well soon!

Ah. But surely retirement is exactly when you should have time for writing..?
