I'd say the bookies will be taxed,it looks similar to the bill being passed in England right now which has resulted in a lot of the Asian market moving out of there.
Bad news if you're a value punter. The likes of Pinnacle or SBObet will probably close accounts and block ips here. All the rubbish street chains will stick around and it'll probably be business as usual pretty much

It is an attempt by the government to tax superior overseas bookmakers like Pinnacle and SBObet and steer people towards rubbish books like PaddyPower.

The stupid thing about it all is that most people who play at bookmakers like Pinnacle and SBO have already been banned by bookmakers like PaddyPower or else had the amount that they can stake reduced to just a few cents.

Just bypass the government altogether and go the bitcoin route with books like Nitrogen Sports or AnoniBet its great and you can get instant withdrawls as soon as you win.

With Nitrogen, you do not even have to open an account so it is completely anonymous.

Bitcoin is going to be the future of online betting in my opinion.
