Well lets face it, if it's raining the traffic is going to be crap anyway because Irish people still can't drive when the road is wet. :D

None of us? Not a one ? really? I would hazard a guess and say Irish people are probably more adept at driving in rain than other nationalities, I mean it rains pretty much all the time.....

By the way, I am not trying to excuse idiots who drive like gob****es ALL the time, rain or shine.

And yet, most driver don't appear to be used to it... light shower and people seem to only capable of driving at around 50% of the speed limit.

Not sure what your point is. I drive slower in the rain because it's safer. Random deep puddles can put the car out of control quite quickly.

I was on a road trip near Las Vegas two months ago and a heavy shower broke out. In the space of 5 minutes, I saw 4 accidents. All just fender benders, but it was on roads not adapted to rain and by drivers that weren't used to it.

My point is that in the rain, you don't have to slow down to a standstill but it happens.

More cars circulating, poorer visibility, longer braking distances, pedestrians running across roads because it's raining, camouflaged cyclists....

I agree, it's ridiculous. The M50 is a complete and utter nightmare in the rain, even a small drop of rain can bring it to a standstill.

And when there is snow or ice, most people go slower, only an idiot drives the same way in inclement weather as they would when it is dry.

Sorry Gramar, you beat me to it.

usage of the word curvey annoys me immensely.

this morning, theres certain websites and papers fapping over Kim Kardashian posing with her arse on full display.

its f*cking disgusting. this massive, huge fat ass that is as anything but attractive, but as its seen as curvy, its deemed to be acceptable.

My point was about when it's not raining and they are being ferried back and forth. And yes traffic does get worse when it rains as dropping your speed is the sensible thing to. It will be even more cráp because of the ferrying.

No shít. The point still stands, be cautions but stop going full retard! Christ, the amount of accidents I saw in the last snow because people thought using the break would stop a slide...

Is there any possibility that that comment is an exageration?

It depends on the age of the children. It's actually illegal to send them off on their own to school below a certain age. Just like babysitting requirements. Not like years ago when we just fcuked off wherever we wanted and nobody really cared :D

Ever drive on the M50 in the rain? I reckon in a 120 zone the average speed is around 50-60.

I am not sure how large it actually is, but I hear it has been allocated it;s own zip code:D

I liked your comment because of the second bit. Just clarifying.

Juice "cleanses". Why not cut out the middle man and just flush your money directly down the toilet? It'll have the same net effect on your weight.

Fair enough, we dont get enough snow to get used to driving on it, but people as a rule, still drive slower on it, which makes sense. Same rule applies for rain, drive slower. In either case, if you are driving slower it lessens the impact in the event of a collision.

My father used to drive a thirty miles per hour on country roads. In the Summer. And in Winter. In six inches of snow. On the latter days, the school bus was grounded and he couldn't do any concrete, so he'd be in the kitchen bored. So instead of having a day off school he'd drive me the eight miles or so, spinning the steering wheel and holding 'er sideways like Ari Vatanen. Of course I'd usually have a day off anyway 'cos most other people couldn't go anywhere, so we'd come rallying back again. Good days.

    Keep the shoe in, hi!!

On the subject of driving, people who don't know the rules of the road.

The orange light obviously means go faster and try and make it. It's never safe to stop because the cnut behind ya will be up your hole. Drive faster, you'll make it!
