07:00 Aeroflot A330 going down the east coast, I would have expected bound for Shannon but seems to be descending too quickly - heading for Dublin?

Down through FL200 off Kilkeel now.

07:15 turning onto finals for Dublin now. Nice visitor, in from Moscow Sheremetyevo.

    Boeing 747sp
DeBiz, if you are around Galway City you might see going westbound it in a few hours :)

    Crossed around 12:30 onwards :)

AC823 A319 LHR-YYT looks to be decending into Shannon passing FL240 now

Just heard on atc the winds en route are too much for the A319 to make non-stop so a splash and dash is required!

does the crew land in Kazakhstan ?

Yup, Russian space agency mostly operates there.

NASA used the open ocean, Soviets/Russians used/use the wide open steppes of Kazakhstan

It was going East West at about 2.30.

Did i hear correctly there having equipment problems in knock?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,599 ✭✭✭✭flazio

Thought I heard something about a storm. Weather info for NOC on FR24 doesn't indicate anything that would cause difficulty for incoming aircraft.

    This too shall pass.

RYR6773 is making a normal approach, no problems indicated by NOC tower.

    This too shall pass.

And it does, I'm sure the FR staff on the ground are having great fun explaining why the Liverpool flight is there and the Stansted flight isn't.

    This too shall pass.
