    Quite tempted by this! FWIW it's also £110 on superfi.co.uk, so this is quite the steal!

    Seriously though, Pro-ject are makers of turntables, this is for an upgrade to the platter (the bit you put the record on), which is made from acrylic. It supposedly has better sonic qualities than the metal one included with most Pro-ject turntables.

    Also the terrible stock Felt mat they provide creates a lot of static on the records. The Acrylic Platter is supposed to help eliminate static too.

    Big time. I went with the cheaper option and got the cork mat though.
