Looking advice on cost of clutch for Clio 02

Hi All recently got quoted by mechanic 400 euro to fix replace my clutch on 02 clio however mechanic originally told me he would usually charge 300 euro. Does this seem a bit pricey or is this standard.

€400 is pricey, yes. Are you sure that's all the quote was for?

yeah quote was for just clutch, priced around and this is actually the cheapest by a garage in my area unless done as a nixer by mechanic onside.
