Appreciate the info dude, and the honesty.

I see so many forums with guys really denying that they lose any strength on a lengthy cut which for natural guys I find very hard to believe. Or at the very least to maintain or gain strength is not the norm for an experienced lifter. Your drops seem pretty much in line with mine which is comforting as you seem like a guy who is doing the vast majority of things right.

When you cut you have 2 options

    1) more reps less weight, mind muscle connection always

    2) follow the same routine you did during the bulk, 6 reps or under

It's hard to say which is better, it depends on your goals but both have pros and cons. I followed number 1 and in terms of visual progress it worked but strength went down. If I went with number 2 would I still look the same? Who knows

    what I do know

    1) more reps less weight route
    Pros
-allows you to reduce rest period so you have more intensity created which turns your workout into a form of cardio as well
-mind muscle connection is encouraged with this routine because lower weight so not using ego

    Cons
-the argument that you can't 'mould' muscle with more reps, a muscle will either increase or decrease based on resistance
-strength is not trained because lack of rest period so you can't lift with 100% effort
    -this routine really discourages compounds

    2) same routine as your bulk

    Pros
-Maintaining strength because still have rest periods
-if bulk went well no reason it theory why it can't work for cut

    Cons
-More rest periods means less intensity so would need to add more cardio to burn calories
-some people will get sick of doing the same routine for a bulk and cut

Yeah iv always gone for the second option. Partly this is because iv always responded best to lower rep routines anyway. Iv also been tempted to slowly drop the number of sets as the cut progresses in order to allow easier recovery. This was a theory I felt made sense. In practice it seemed to work fine for upper body but anecdotally my lower body did not seem to maintain as much strength.

I don't think anyone posting in the thread so far has benched 2xBW raw. Just sayin'. Let me know if someone has because fair play if so, obviously

    What a dope

He goes into an international website with a fake story and fake pictures, and people still manage to find out who he actually is in real life - this is just new levels of stupidity

Same. There was a lot of internet speak I didn't understand.

I understood that someone was claiming he had lifted certain numbers and was putting up pics of Hanley to support the claim.

Hanley came on the scene which showed up the OP as a liar but the bit I am stuck on is how Hanley knew who the person behind the login was?

So the update... He's photos taken 200m from my door, we've like 7 friends in common on Facebook.

I fired off a load of mails with his pics to people who train in the gyms he mentioned before Timestretch pm'd me his FB and got links back with who he was.

So it looks like I now know who the bozo is, suggestions on how I should handle it?

    there we go

I got PMs from like 3 dudes on BB.com who tracked down his yahoo and myspace profile and sent me links.

One sent pics of him taken really close to my gaff. Scarily so.
