i came across 2 platforms TNTSat and Fransat but unfortunately I need a dedicated receiver:(

you can get fransat on a cam and card too... but your tv/stb will need to be able to take a cam+

Fransat and TNT sat are two platforms one is on astra 19.2 and the other is on 5 west.

From my own experience, i have a tnt sat receiver which i bought in france two years ago for €150 with the card, the card lasts for four years and is easily to renew for €15.

I opted for the tnt sat as i could attach the astra 19.2 lnb to my 80 cm dish which was pointed at astra 28.2. Given the degree of separation if i wanted 5 west another dish would of been required.

The tnt sat decoder picks priovides me with all the french channels and the remaing channels on astra 19.2. However my tnt sat decoder does not support diseqc and thus i cannot combine astra 28.2 on to this decoder.

So in reality i have two receivers astra 28.2 freesat box into hdmi 1 on the tv and astra 19.2 into the tnt sat decoder into hdmi 2. The tv has a built in saorview decoder.

I have had no issus with reception the french hd channels are very good quality.

I have the humax tntsat box which does support diseqc. It's great having both sats on the same receiver. Also have a sky box so use a smart priority switch to swap between them. Have both lnbs on a standard sky dish centred at 19.2 with no issues.

just to update as of the 1st of july the france tnt channels are gone HD.

kooga, well spotted, just watching 3rd stage on France 2 in glorious HD.

Don't have a tntsat decoder, but have the card which clears stuff using a softcam. HD gone for a while, so glad to have it back.

On another note, have you renewed your card since you got it?
Just noticed the end date on mine is in the next 2 months.
