Well Sky are hardly going to come out and say we are stopping you getting the Network for free for the next month when we are charging you £14.95 for the PPV.

In that case they should keep their mouths shut.

Whoever runs their PR department should be shot.

Sky are no strangers to lying. They have been leading on many of their broadband customers about reselling Eircom's eFibre product. They are supposedly trialling it and have been doing so since May 20th, 2013.

Not really by coming out and having someguy online say Sky have nothing to do with throws the blame back onto the WWE.

    That great PR to me.

The WWE aren't going to come out and blame one of there biggest tv providers and cash cows after just signing a 5 year contract with them.

Sky also know the WWE probably can't afford to do another free month and give away another big 4 PPV for free.

So they threw a spanner in the works for another month.

Might be naive but I believe Sky in what they're saying. As stated if I was their fault it would probably be in their interest not to make a murmur. That statement deflects the blame.

The whole thing is, it is a "the failed launch had nothing to do with us" or is it a "the WWE Network has nothing to do with us"

Would love to know is it all panic stations at WWE headquarters or could they give a shiney sh*te about the Network for UK/Ireland.

I don't even use WWE Network very often other than watching latest PPV's and NXT. They barely update their VOD library, they have yet to upload episodes of RAW from Attitude Era for example.

I will eventually unsubscribe from WWE Network after WrestleMania season is over next year.

They have added Monday Night Raw up to the end of October 1995, a few Smackdown shows from 2000 and some Undertaker & Kane thing.

From a 1995 Raw they recently uploaded: Cornette screaming at Vince the Network burglar. Clarence Mason wouldn't settle for this fiasco.

The wweuk Twitter account tweeted about the UK tour that starts tomorrow. Cue some pissed off responses.

Here's a fairly lay-mans guide to accessing it within the UK. No excuses really and still works out at around a tenner with not half as much moaning.

Got sick of waiting so got hola on my ipad and signed up but finding it buffering a lot and quality not amazing?

Is the trial slower than normal or something or is it always like this?

LOL! Yep. Jump through hoops, pay twice to 'pirate' a service is a slap in the face. Or WWE could just release it legally in our region, like they said they would, twice.

Hola buffers. Unblock-us doesn't. You're confusing the two. Both completely different services.

I wouldn't call 5 mins once off work (with a step-by-step guide) the same as jumping through hoops. Maybe we went to different circuses as kids.

I'm aware. Thanks for ignoring "pay twice" and having to circumvent a geoblock for a service they said they'd release over here. Twice. and haven't.

Are ya sure it's twice? :D

I've been using it effortlessly since February. Pay twice, fair enough. Still works out less than 11 euro a month. I also share it with a buddy of mine. I'm sure WWE don't want that either, but it works away grand with both of us using it.

Back in January, I would have thought "circumvent a geoblock" was a painful process. Far from it. Couldn't be easier. 5mins work and it's sorted me for every PPV since Wrestlemania.

We can all sit around and moan on a forum, or else just give unblock-us.com the ~€3 to watch Survivor Series in 720p. I'm sure WWE will sort it out soon.

Hola is completely free and am using it nps with the network, why wait for something that's been delayed and will more then likely now not be OTT

    Exactly.

Kind of hoping it does launch as a channel on Sky. Gives us both options, better than what they have in the US.

Been using the Network since launch for about a tenner a month. Never had any issues and the quality is always good. Once you set it up once, never need to do anything else. It's pretty easy tbh.

Heavily dependent on your internet connection I imagine.

This whole UK launch thing is a total disaster though. Absolute farce. WWE blanking the whole thing isn't helping either. Transparency is usually the best way to proceed from a PR standpoint. Hopefully all the people who've been screwed will be compensated in some way.

It should make RAW a bit of craic too next week. :pac:

It's awesome how quickly people recover and actually defend being slapped in the face, twice. What's wrong with wanting something legally? Maybe I should stop & charge people to get into Tesco, for the opportunity to buy something  It's not the cost, it's about being d**ked around by WWE.

I can't get Sky in my apt. block, so I hope it's not a channel on Sky. What you're talking about is what they have in Canada, AFAIK they're less than pleased with it.

In work minus a pair of headphones.

What does Vince say in his video on WWE.com?

Nothing much. They are working with partners and he thanks us for our patience(lol).

When does Vince McMahon address Irish fans?

Elsewhere anyway from the apology fans are saying they are receiving refunds this morning for their cancelled subscription.

Personally I use Unblock-us too. No matter what happens WWE Network wise I will keep it for Netflix region differences and stuff like US talk shows and comedies on Youtube and such like. More than worth the money.

Have to agree, it's a fantastic service, for just a small few quid - far less even than you'd have in your pocket in loose change after a night out.

In Canada they have both options. Via their Set-top box and via unblock-us which gives the OTT version. Spoiled for choice if you ask me.

You should watch Vince's heartfelt apology. :pac:

Unblock-us also gives me access to BBC iPlayer for free, ITV player, TVplayer.com, US Netflix, Hulu and a host of other services including WWE Network. Also works for RTE Player when I'm out of the country. Definitely the best 3euro a month I spend.

I really don't get the hysteria and ranting on forums and Twitter. The WWE Network is right at your finger tips and has been for the last 9 months.

    An apology of nothingness.

They pretty much covered every scenario possible in that. You coy bastard Vince!

You'd think it's an extra €20 a month for unblock us the way people are going on.

As others have said it's a great service for €3 a month for all netflix regions along with the network.

First week is free as well so try it out!

I don't disagree with any of this. It is a disgrace.

Rovert put it better then I could.

Using a VPN is legal. Unblock-Us are a legitimate company who provide a great service and who I've used for a few years. Best four quid a month you'll ever spend.
