Best way to address cover letter, without contact name

Just wondering what people feel is the best way to address a cover letter/application letter when a specific contact name isn't given? I have been using Dear Sir/Madam, but I don't know if that sounds a bit dated or something. What do people think?

"Dear Sir/Madam" is fine and still regularly used
