    Are there any?

On the lookout for a new phone and came across one on Adverts that I like the look of. Says it's in great condition. It's locked to Vodafone but I'm on the Vodafone network anyway.

Are there any implications I should be aware of in buying a used phone?

Can I just 'reset' it when I get it and make it my own?

if I want to switch to another network, is this easy to do?

(Apologies if these seem like stupid questions!)

Risk is if its been stolen, damaged. Or some problem thats not apparent on intial inspection. Water damage for example.

Thank you beauf, hadn't consider it might be stolen.

I transferred all my photos and videos and freed up 7GB! My phone is like a new phone! I even changed the wallpaper to deceive myself further! :P Email app actually opens now when I click on it! So will hold off on buying a phone for the moment.
