I hope both Nidge and Fran will be alive after the next episode, this series has gone way too quickly :(

Jaysus, I still feel sick. Thought Siobhan was gone there. She's a great actress.

    Great episode.

Great episode that fran is a looper.

One thing could the guards bug your phone that quick? Surely not.

Anyone else think the Fran escape storyline is terrible.

He escapes goes to meet Deano and then goes to his caravan until its dark. Obviously a fair few hours have passed. Not a guard anywhere near the place.

I think if a gang member escaped and spent hours at his home he would have the ERU all over the place.

    0/10

Do the police know about it?

Nidge got coverage from Frans yard only last year as he clocked Patrick.

Maybe siobhan is with three. Nidge is probably with Vodafone

The auld guards are becoming very sophisticated. They're nearly as good as the feds.

The Gardia too busy tailing Elmo to even pay a visit to Fran's?

Gotta say after the build up of last week I found this episode very disappointing. Pace was all over the place. All the action was shoe horned into the last 10 minutes. Hope next week makes up for it. And I agree with the poster who thinks that Siobhan is planning to plant the "bone" on Nidge.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,681 ✭✭✭ColeTrain

    Very underwhelmed with that tbh.

Jesus, they're taking the piss with Siobhan. If she's not pushing someone off a balcony she's watching someone get their head smashed in while she's hiding under a caravan. Added to the fact she has Tommy in a coma and has just been to a Paulie's funeral and lied to his uncle. Not to mention being an informant for the cops and having the threat of the Gardai suspecting her for murder?

She's a mighty girl that she hasn't had a mental breakdown..

Fran breaks loose from jail. Goes back to his own land straightaway where he murders someone. Very casual about it?

Nidge is expecting a backlash from the travellers, yet just cuts about the place like normal?

Felt like they done a poor job hyping up next week's show.

That's presuming they actually know where he lives. The fact he lives out in sticks not the city gives credence to that.

Maybe the community garda rang to arrange a ride off one of the hookers ! They never seem to be doing any business anyway !!

I'd say Frans place is unknown to the Gardaí, can't exactly see if being on the property register.

He got the letter about the water charges though.. Why do you think he was so angry when he came back out of the trailer..

Great episode, lots of plot developments. Bit worried though that the finale might be another anti-climax, like last year. Cos there were so many dangling plot threads then, too.

    From the preview,
looks like Terrence decided Janet was the rat and was telling a shocked Nidge that his inside man had killed her. Gives added significance to Nidge using Janet's phone a couple of episodes back. Scene between Moynihan and Nidge looks interesting though, no idea what could lead to that scene.

    1. Do you not think the prison would not be in contact with the officer who was at the hospital with Fran. Surely they would realise they were unable to contact him. And investigate.

    2. The hospital staff would notice that the prisoner and prison officer had both disappeared.

    3. Do you think the prison officer is going to lie dead in the hospital for that many hours and not be found.

Any of the above happening would have lead to the Guards to know Fran had escaped.

The isolation on Nidge is growing along with his enemies. He'll be some man to wiggle out of this one. The Gardaí might be his only hope in the end.... Carlo might also take offence to the fact Fran didnt use him for that job so could offer his services to Nidge

Both Fran and Patrick want to kill him and Terrence wants to take over his territory. Siobhan is a rat. Tommy is in hospital, Aido is completely disinfranchised and back on the smack, Elmo is in prison, Deano is now dead, The big Lithuanian Micha had his leg hacked off.

Going to be very very interesting to see how it pans out. Im tipping Nidge to survive but to have to have to enter witness protection, while Carlo will kill Fran. Hopefully also that idiot Garda wont as much issue a parking ticket again after his fúck up in the prison hospital.

A couple of the story lines are silly.

They tried to kill the Traveller/pipe bomb maker twice, they knew after the first time he was wearing a bullet proof, surely a real criminal gang would have communicated this for the second attempt.

Surely there would be two Gardai and not just one with a prisoner in hospital.

The Guards never knew about Fran's yard did they? - what's the betting Fran will pass Siobhan walking on his way back ... now that would be class :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,030 ✭✭✭Slippin Jimmy

The other guard came back into it this week. Was wondering where he was.

I think the poster was answering do they know where he lives not if he escaped.
    The answer is probably not.

    They did communicate it.

    It's a prison officer.

One thing they annoys me is whenever Moynihan is in his car waiting for an informer to join him, he spots them walking towards him, gets out of car and helps them in to car. Ffsstay in car and let them sit in without broadcasting it to all watching who is meeting who.
