I don't like the look of that 8 point hit tbh Copper.

At least hold off till United & City play.

Im very tempted to go ahead with this

    Tadic > Wanyama
    Siggy > Sanchez
    Jagielka > Dummett

Clyne to Dummett would probably be better though

How much game time is Wanyama likely to see is the question! He would be a great shout for a 5th mid but as a regular starter in your team? He rarely gets 90 mins on the pitch!

no idea what to do with sterling. Chelsea nxt so easily I could take him out but pool have nice run after that

you must have made a bit more to play with than myself so far then, I'd still be .3 short with that move! Fuck it anyway!

I can do a straight swap of ADM to Sanchez but Sterling needs to go too anyway before he starts hemorrhaging price hits and Downing seems in form! Hopefully ADM has a few blanks the next couple of weeks to justify it as I'm terrified dropping him!

The only other option i have is to downgrade Sigurdsson to Jedinak but i feel i'd be almost playing a 3-3-3 formation most weeks with him on the pitch

I guess it boils down to what's stronger

    A) Fab -- Sanchez -- Sigurdsson -- Downing

    B) Fab -- ADM -- Sanchez -- Jedinak

I had 1 mil in the bank too. Sanchez looked very good yesterday so a -8 is worth it IMO. My missus did it in her team!

His price is going to rocket.

As RossieMan said it's otherwise almost impossible to get your desired team. Or...
    1. Downgrade Pellè to either Berahino/Sakho/Austin (they are all facing reasonably favourable runs of fixtures).

    2. Downgrade Siggy to Downing (again good fixtures ahead and on form - to phrase it differently he's scored as well as Hazard over 10 GWs -) and Clyne to a £4.2m def (if my maths are correct), Southampton fixtures will get tougher and you'll be covered by Forster anyway while Burnley, QPR, AV, WH, Newcastle are ahead of a more favourable run.

Option 2 is a possible runner now that I look at it. I'd be reluctant to lose Clyne but I do have Southampton defensive coverage and they have three tricky fixtures in a row after the next two.

You're right, I'd have 4.2 to spend on a defender. Given who I already have, Dummett is the stand out choice. I'll think over it during the afternoon.

Yeah reckon i'll just do it in, just wondering who is the best bet, Dummett or S Taylor? Neither really strike me with confidence in fairness though! Newcastle are woeful this season

Siggy out this week for either Milner, Downing, Chadli or Barkley...?

Might get him back in GW 13 depending on how his replacement scores.

4 wins in a row with 3 clean sheets!

I went Dummett. Taylor will lose his place when Williamson is back. Dummett will when Santon gets back but haven't heard mention of him being near a return.

Is Fabregas-Hazard-Costa to much from 1 team?

Not when it's the team that look like they will waltz to League glory.

Think I'll join the Sanchez train..not sure whether to do a straight swap with Di Maria or take a -4 and get rid of fabregas and siggy for downing and sanchez

3.0m in the bank and 1ft left

    Original plan was to go
    Welbeck -> Rooney

    Now I'm thinking
    Tadic -> ADM
Might be the better long term move.

I call also just bank the transfer but no United cover for next weekend is scary.
Then again, I expect Southampton to beat Leicester well and there should be goals in the Swansea Arsenal game.
After watching Arsenal last night and last week, I'm thinking Welbeck may be worth an extended run. He's involved an awful lot.

I had planned to offload Tadic and keep Pelle over the next few weeks. I think I'm taking myself into Tadic -> ADM.

Right, this started off as a joke in the gameday thread, but I've hummed and hawed over it for the past 6hrs and I'm seriously considering Fellaini.

A FF legend, obviously haven't really hit it off at United and hence is only 6.3 - puts him in the same bracket as Siggy/Chadli/Downing. Last 2.5 games he seems to be central to everything Utd do, with ADM's delivery he's going to be a huge threat at set pieces, his spot in the team is probably most at threat by Mata (?) who hasn't done much this year. No other competitions so no rotation risk. He's a bit of a hot head so probably going to get his share of YC's.

Want to mix up my midfield, but don't want to go straight to Walcott for another few weeks. Currently have Cesc, Siggy, Sterling, ADM. Thinking Sterling - Fellaini now, then Siggy - Walcott when he's back (possibly after Anderlecht game)

Does that make any sense or am I gone mad?

My friend has also been thinking about it ;)

I think he's mad to be considering it at present. We still don't know if Fellaini will be a regular.
I can see him starting against the bigger clubs but I think he'll be benched against lesser teams in the hope that United will "out football" them.
Falcao still needs to be worked into the team too.

I can see Fellaini being Plan B against lesser opposition.

Not sure having 2 £4.5m midfielders is a good idea. Also don't keep Pieters if you reshuffle your defense. Stoke are getting useless for CS. And Pieters is too expensive anyway for his returns.

How much you had in bank before your proposed transfers?

Don't want to get you confused but you may also consider
    • Burnley's Duff (£4.2m) - great upcoming fixtures but no sign of CS since their September 0-0 trio.
    • QPR's Yun (£3.9m) - I think he's covering for Rio Ferdinand whom is suspended until... the 29th November. Ah forget it it's GW13 so unless he has real chances to keep his position he's not worth it.
    • Aston Villa's Hutton (£4.2m) - Injured at the moment. Expected back for next GW. It's a pity since Av have decent fixtures coming. But again long time since they've seen a CS.
Hmmm... All my alternatives are crap. So Dummett it is then .

Delighted people are dropping Costa. His record so far is phenomenal barring the last few weeks due to injury. He's an obvious captain choice a lot of the time and with quite a few active players dropping him (still 56% ownership atm) I feel I can pile on a lot of misery on my rivals in a few money leagues. Not overly concerned about his price as I got him in for £10.5, obviously with hindsight I wish I'd have dropped him for the last 3 GWs but it took balls to do that knowing he might be back for United and then had QPR at home!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,474 ✭✭✭OneColdHand

Is anyone without Sanchez considering not getting him, and waiting a week or two for Walcott?

I can't help but feel that I've missed the boat (pointswise) on that one, and Walcott is 1.6m less.

Would be swapping for ADM, but I can't help but feel that in terms of the players I need to get rid of, Siggy is more of a concern than ADM.

I wouldn't say it's phenomenal...Suarez last season was phenomenal. In the 6 games he's scored in, he's only scored once in 4 of them and has been in the bonus points on only 3 occasions. In FF terms, I think he will offer consistent returns but I don't think he will ever reach the explosive heights some are expecting of him and that Aguero and perhaps Sanchez are capable of.

Having an absolute nightmare this season with bad captain choices and suspensions and injuries fallen down to 900k

Dumped Sterling to Downing last night willing to take a hit to get things going again

    3 mil in the bank

    Guzan Murphy
    Baines Bertrand Duff Wisdom Moore
    Siggy Fab ADM Downing Boyd
    Costa Aguero Sakho

Was thinking over next 2 weeks Moore to Chambers & Siggy to Walcott but thinking of jumping on Sanchez at the minute.

Any thoughts from the members of the Mickey Turner fan club or Anti Ramsey brigade

i had been planning on Rooney in for welbeck with an eye on 3 good home games in next 4 (also have ADM)
I'm now wondering wondering if pelle is a better option BUT I already have Forster and tadic and they will be moving on soon .....

He has just scrapped over 1,000 NTO's today. Only a tiny fraction of 56% are dropping him.

He was terrible. Taken off at half time.

I'm a Spurs fan and I wouldn't touch any of our players at the moment. Todays result was a total fluke and totally undeserved.

however, Chadli is one of those players who seems to pick up goals without ever playing particularly well. He certainly doesn't dictate games or control the midfield so unlikely to pick up man of the match awards or bonus points.

Mason might be worth a punt as hes become a constant starter in the XI in the last 2 months

I understand your point but the problem with this situation is if Sánchez continues his glorious run (and well he has the talent for it, in 3 seasons in La Liga with Barça he scored 39 goals for 25 assists in 88 games and that with Messi being the focus of everything there) you could be priced out and if his ownership continues to rocket that'd be an uncomfortable situation not to have him.

I'm waiting for Walcott for the reasons you state above.

    Probably switching him for Siggy

He also needs to add assists to his locker to be in Suarez's class (I'm aware he could have had a couple yesterday)

Can't wait for the people that shipped Aguero for Costa last week to do the reverse transfer now :pac:
