What is your usual daily morning routine.

Due to starting work very early and being lazy (hitting snooze button too many times) mine is very poor. Out of bed, washed, dressed and into the car. All feeling very rushed.

I admire people who can exercise first thing before work etc. and hopefully it is something I can improve on.

Does some self romancing count as exercise?

Up at 6am, take the dogs for a walk/run, back before 7 to get kids up, have breakfast, feed dogs, have a wash, out the door at 7:45 to do the school run.

If you want to try and get up earlier start setting your alarm back by about 15 mins, do that for a week or so then set it back earlier again. Less of a shock to the system.

I believe in taking care of myself and a balanced diet and rigorous exercise routine. In the morning if my face is a little puffy I'll put on an ice pack while doing stomach crunches. I can do 1000 now. After I remove the ice pack I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower I use a water activated gel cleanser, then a honey almond body scrub, and on the face an exfoliating gel scrub. Then I apply an herb-mint facial mask which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an after shave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion. :p

I've an awful routine, well if you count pressing snooze 5 times, hurried shower, no brekkie and legging it out the door a routine. I seem to be getting worse rather than better the older I get :o

5:40 am up. brush teeth. Get dressed. leave.

I shower and shave before I go to bed. It takes an hour to get to work. I work 10 hour shifts and start at 7 so mornings are very brief. Not even a cup of coffee till I get to work.

    Shower before treadmill?

Up at 6:45 (5:45 on Fridays) have some breakfast and make my lunch while listening to the radio then have a quick wash and out the door for 7:30 (6:30 on Fridays)

On Saturdays I get up at 7:35, have breakfast and a quick wash then head off for a run.

Sundays I don't get up until 8:30, I have a very relaxed breakfast and start studying at 10:00, if it's a nice day I'll head out for a cycle before studying.

Coffee. Cigarette. Coffee. Another cigarette. More coffee. Followed by a cigarette and a coffee together.

Sometimes toast too if feeling adventurous.

Out the door then by 07.20 and get a coffee while waiting for the train.

Personally I need the shock to wake me up and energise me, although I don't exercise for long tbh.

Usually get up sometime between 8:30 and 9, get dressed straight away, wash teeth and straight out the door to work. Eat my breakfast at work while browsing the net and have a few cups of tea to get me going for the day.

    Wake up. Cry.

Nothing better than the morning ride to start the day and put a pep in your step.

Eat, run, shower, work. Repeat the steps, sometimes more running or biking after work.

Wake up, get on bike, cycle to work, have shower, have breakfast and coffee at my desk.

I generally have everything prepared the night before so I don't need to do anything in the mornings.

    Yer all horrid early risers.

I get up at 8 on weekdays, get dressed, have breakfast, do make up, iron the uniform and be at work for 8.30. Work is a 2 min drive away. Hate having a shower in the morning and going around with wet hair so I shower in the evening.

Weekends, it depends on matches. Saturday would be 9ish to get all jobs done, Sunday can be any time depending on if I was out the night before, if there was someone beside me or if there's more matches to go to.

I don't understand how anyone can exercise in the morning. Why would you do that to yourself.

The life of a desperate, jobless woman in her early 20's; I crawl out of bed, usually in the afternoon, brush my teeth, read a bit of the news/check the usual jobs websites and then shower and do whatever I have planned for the day (usually nothing).

Anyway, this Monday I will be starting full time classes for the first time in five years, the mornings will be a shock to the system but I can't say I'm not excited to finally have something to do other than desperately trying to get into the world of work.

Alarm goes off at 7.10, get up and walk with eyes closed cursing the world to bathroom to take a wee.

Stick on the water for my tea and have a quick shower and put on my clothes.

Prepare porridge. Stick on the laptop. Eat porridge and tea while reading news, Facebook, Boards etc.

Get my stuff ready for work.

Back into the bathroom to dry hair, stick on moisturiser and mascara.

Get bag and out the door at 8.15 to the metro station....

    That takes an hour.

Best of luck with new classes! The day is horrid long when you have nothing to do. Hard to have the motivation to do anything when there isn't something which forces a structure to your day.

Thanks a lot, that it is. I was only 16 when I graduated from secondary school, how is a 16 year old supposed to know what they are doing? So I made bad decisions, of course and now I'm slowly getting back on track.

I think education (along with possibly travelling) is time you'll never feel was wasted.

I was unemployed for 6 months about 7 years ago. First three were grand. like a long holiday. Then the madness set in :)

    Good luck to you.

Up very early, cup of coffee, shower, tea, breakfast, tea, dress, tidy up and dress bed, bit of makeup, out the door. Maybe some tea in work.

Three mornings a week I'll stick a swim between cup of coffee and shower.

Thanks. I'm hoping to leave the country next year, so that kind of counts as travelling, right? :p

Up at 8.00, prepare breakfast for my kid. Have a cup of hot water with lemon.

Shower, and shave then get dressed.

Back downstairs at 8.30, have some cereal and a cup of tea.

    Catch the news at 9.00.

Drop kid to school at 9.10.

Drive to work, arrive at 9.30.

    Simple really..

    1) you have no reason not to go.. ie social occasion, work late etc
    2) frees up your evening while getting the benefit of exercise
    3) you're wide awake for work and more productive
    4) you're knackered whatever time you get up. When was the last time you awoke and thought "God I feel so refreshed" ;-)

Elect a clown... Expect a circus
