I'm pretty sure he does. I think John Boy might have owned in it in the first 2 seasons, and then Nidge 'inherited' it.

He did go back up the stairs. Whether he' d have done that if he was in on it is debatable. Surely he'd want to flee the scene with guards on the way. Or maybe he lived on the same block as Lizzie and just wanted to get to his own apartment before the guards showed up. It depends if he is seen in future episodes what side he was on there.

Yeah but the fact he left to get a balaclava just before she got shot makes it look as if he was part of the act. Good point about running back up the stairs though, which leaves it open to interpretation.

This may seem way off the mark... But are we to take it that Wayne is definitely dead? He was shot a few times in the back but I feel there is a minimum chance he might still be alive, you never know!

It was a great episode and I know many hits are carried out by amateurs and often fail...but I thought the aido attempt on paddy was bit sh1t....made the first one like the Bourne identity

I was discussing the show with my friend earlier, and he thinks that Fran will end up killing Noelie. I can see this happening, with Fran ending the season in jail and on trial for murder, and therefore exiting the show. Yes gangsters usually end up getting killed, but they do sometimes get their just desserts in other forms, including long-term jail sentences.

Fran probably hasn't bought Noelie's 'diplomacy', and my guess is that he will sense danger when Noelie is approaching him at some point. Not sure how it will happen, but it could be pretty gruesome. There is no way they could fit in a proper trial by the end of the season as it would be far too soon, but I think it will be all but confirmed that Fran is going to get sent down for life.

I think this will only happen if Nidge is kept alive, as killing off both Fran and Nidge would cause so much uproar. I expect one or two more big deaths by the end of the season, but I think the season will end with Nidge alive and Fran in jail for life. Fran bowing out to Love/Hate with a big jail sentence might seem disappointing to some, but it's an apt and realistic ending for him, imo.

haha yeah! If the season ended with Fran being sent down though then there's a possibility that season 6 would just be more of the same - Fran getting visitors in to try and get them to 'whack' Nidge. So I'm not sure how they'd work it.

I have a feeling this will be the case only with one exception: Fran will still be in season 6 but he will be in prison possibly joined by Nidge later on as well? Season 6 may be about a gang war behind bars and a court case or 2 plus maybe Terence playing a more significant role out for revenge akin to Dano?

I'd say Fran will end up killing Noelie in self defence. Pottsy and co too perhaps. Ado will become a new worry for Nidge too I predict and it only seems that Elmo is the last committed to Nidge person in the gang?

Yeah really why? Nidge has only tried to have him killed 3 times at this stage. What is his problem?

Nidge tried to kill Paddy (last season), primarily because Paddy knew about Nidge and Linda or that Nidge had bought a pipebomb off him and used it to maim Linda.
Nidge was worried that Fran might get wind of it from Paddy. His paranoia got to him.

Nidges two attempts to kill him this season are primarily to make sure that Paddy doesn't kill him first.

In fairness, Fran got wind of it from Paddy, but Paddy wouldn't have told him if Nidge hadnt tried to kill him in the first place.

So instead of letting things lie, Nidge now has at least two more major enemies that he didn't have early last season.

Not the sharpest tool in the box Nidgie!

In fairness, they may just have started watching this season - which is what happens when any show becomes successful.
People tend to begin watching at different vistas in the show and as such may have missed a lot of the back story (haven't had a chance yet to catchup with it)
Indeed for many multipart series the back story isn't that important, each season or indeed each episode may stand alone however for ones such as L/H the back story is very important.

I didn't start watching till the second series and once I had watched one episode in that I made sure I watched the first series, but people don't always have time for this.
