Everybody in the preview has unlimited invites, so I don't think you'll have a problem getting them but you'll need to stick your gamertag up.

So, an update from my discussions with Xbox support - a separate DLNA client is required for MKV streaming. This might have been obvious to some but I took it as being native support, which only appears to work from locally attached storage. So earlier I did a library update on my Plex client to test a couple of Bluray conversions to MKV from my TV and these worked fine. Then this evening when I opened the media player app I had three options - USB, PC and Plex! So I'm up and running now but it's strange as the option wasn't there previously even though the Plex client was running on my PC all along. I know Plex was released for Xbox recently but this was supposed to be only for Plex subscribers; I'm using the free version.

Post your gamertag and someone here will invite you. Then it's a matter of waiting and hoping.

Should be a way to sticky this , even after invites you could be lucky and get a message in days or weeks, or if Xbox decide they have enough preview members, also bear in mind that once you are in the previow program, things can break and sometimes there are daily updates to the Dashboard, this would mean download anywhere from 10 to 250mb daily.

Just downloaded an update and now I can't connect to XBL. I can log my GT in no problem, console is connected to the internet no problem but can't actually do anything with it.

Status on the website says there's no problems at the minute. Anybody else have this issue? Already tried a hard reset. Beginning to regret signing up for the preview program.

Can you do anything?

Had an issue last week, network tests were saying "Everything is good", but when trying to play games it said I wasn't connected to XBL.

Contacted support and it was fixed by going to Settings>Disc and Blu Ray>Clear Persistant Storage (do this 3 times) and then a hard reset.

I'm playing Sunset Overdrive at the moment but in offline mode, so I can still play games and everything as long as there's no online requirement. I'll give that a go now.

Yeah they usually suggest that and the clear alternate mac accress under network>advanced too.

A problem I've been having recently is when I go into the kitchen to grab a coffee between rounds, my controller loses range, which up until recently would auto reconnect once I was back within range. Now my controller will still be on but it says reconnect controller. I have to take the batteries out and put them back in, turn the controller back on before it picks up the controller again. Then my headset doesnt work, my voice comes out through speakers and only fix is a hard reset.

Never happened up until this week :S
