Ashley williams about to rise is mad, his next three games are everton arsenal and city, two of em away from home. You really gotta wonder about the general fpl public sometimes

Fernandez is 0.1m cheaper and doing better in baps, but casuals just look at number of overall points

Joint highest scoring defender worth 5.3 or under, that's what the vast majority look at when deciding on transfers.

Yeah, I'm really hoping Cresswell stays under the radar for a few weeks yet.

We could have a new cult hero :) Pelle is probably the closest we've come so far this season but he's fairly mainstream by now. Or Boyd but I don't have him yet!

I think we're at a bit of a loss with Norwich relegated tbh

The original cult hero John Ruddy and his successor Michael Turner are sadly no longer with us

I'm thinking of Clyne to Cresswell when Sotons fixtures turn Iin a few weeks. But all it will take is a double figure haul or for a popular defender to get injured so he starts to stand out on a search for defenders under 5.5m or something and he'll start to rocket.

is he really that good tho? i confess i haven't seen much of him in action, 2 assists from last 2 yes, but in a West Ham side that seems less likely to keep clean sheets

Haven't seen a huge amount of West Ham either. But they're a team coming very much into form, and into a nice run of fixtures. And Cresswell seems to be one of the most attack minded full backs at present. Great cross for Sahko's goal on Saturday. Second assist in two games I think.

Great cross the week before as well. I think somebody mentioned he takes some of the free kicks too.

Cresswell had 14 assists in the championship last year.

5.4 though. I know he has 2 assists in the last 2, but nothing before them. i wounder if Carroll started more regularly would he get more.

Ye he is probably just a little too dear for my liking until I see West ham pick up a couple of clean sheets although they have some great fixtures now. Carroll you'd imagine would be ideal for him.

I currently have Forster and Clyne and need to get rid of at least one shortly, so I think I may do a straight swap from Clyne at similar money. Given the lack of options for keepers (without going premium) I think I might as well just keep Forster for Saints hard run.

    How many did Trippier have?

Same dilemma but I was going to get Adrian in for Forster. At least I can bench Clyne when they have a tough away game, but I couldn't do that with my one playing keeper.

14 for Trippier 12 for Cresswell according to whoscored.com - like many I have Clyne who will be shipped soon enough... Interested in Cresswell but not sure about that 5.4 pricetag! Seeing him in action may help give a better idea

Do we expect Di Maria to drop tonight, tomorrow or at all?

Going by transfers in/out(round) there is 28K out.
Unlikely to drop considering his ownership.

Keep one eye on R Taylor for Newcastle if he starts getting some games. A straight swap from Clyne to R. Taylor is what Im looking to do soon if all goes to plan

A good few other players look like rising tonight: Tadic, Pelle, Chambers, Sanchez, Berahino, Chadli. I have worryingly few players out of that list!

    Have 4 including Diego.

A good few drops predicted too in case anyone gets caught out. Falcao, Zabaletta, Di Maria, Sterling, Begovic, Terry, Blackett, Mignolet, Skrtel.

Swings and roundabouts. A lot of second guessing going on
