triax st hd 537 combo recordings

old hardrive i was using is full and needed other adding and got a toshiba 2tb:eek::D,forgot i had the newer 114 so installed that downstairs and plugged the full hardrive in :mad: it cant see or play them,even my vu cannot see or play and no idea if i can use anything else to play said files.

Recorded on a Triax 537 eh. These boxes still on the go? I think I had one for 3 days before giving it back.

Anyhow the recordings. Cant say I can remember the recording format on these, so i'll asume they are MPEG TS or TRP files.

A lot of the non linux boxes have set structures and expect the recordings to be in certain folders with other index files, so I would forget accessing the recordings from one Triax box on another model Triax box.

On your VU+, make sure you have the NTFS plugin installed and then reboot. It should see it then and you can assign the usb/hdd/sdb address in the VU menu. That plugin solves a lot of the cannot see drive problems, so you dont have to mount it and lose everything.

If none of that works get a Sata to USB cable and try it via USB on a laptop.

getting boxes mixed up again i am lol,sorry it was the newer one 114 that does the recordings and wanted to play them on other box like the 537 and no joy,ahh ntfs dont think i know that plugin or do you mean nfs? will give it a bash or size 12 next.thanks m8.

ntfs-3g. Its under Drivers in the plugin menu.

If you get an error message, make sure the kernel is loaded to.

opkg install kernel-module-ntfs
