but the charging dock would have the same connection as the wire so why would that work if that connection's broken on your phone? Or am I not getting it :o

Dunno about halloween, it's not so big here but there is a parade on the saturday night that follows a route around the city and ends in a party. are you dressing up ? :D
The dock has a different charge place for it, these two metal bits at the side. At the moment I just touch the +ve and -ve of my ghetto charger to those metal bits to charge it.

I dunno, I'd be all dressed up and nowhere to go haha. Busy all this weekend too for organising it last minute, so guess not, wouldn't mind finding something halloweny to go to. Time to search.

I don't get that being posted in ylyl

Took a spin in the Amsterdamse Bos today, it's only 10 mins from me now, it's massive forest, there's 50km of cycle tracks but I had no net on my phone so I had to try and find my way out of it before I got lost. So jealous of the people with dogs there :D
Yeah it's nonsense that it is there. bastids.

Well jealous of that, sounds lovely to explore and get exercise in. My treadmill shows me music videos and sky news without sound, not as good :D

Yep! Can't wait! I'll be playing nerdy computer games in a hotel with 100+ other nerdy people. :D

This is an awesome short story about humanity throughout the future, written by Isaac Asimov in 1956.

    Unfortunately I'll have to make a weekend worth of vegan supplies ;_;

I've been on a real strict diet as of late, only eating rice/sweet potato, beans and loads of green veg.

  • Moderators, Science, Health & Environment Moderators, Social & Fun Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 60,115 Mod ✭✭✭✭Tar.Aldarion

Wouldn't mind that in some tupperware!

I've been pretty lazy, I essentially chop up lots of veg, stick em on a tray in the oven and eat it. Delicious though!
Red onions, mushrooms, peppers, potato, cauliflower, broccoli, carrots nomnomnom, seitan or dees too.
Can easily go through a whole head of cauliflower of broccoli in one meal though.

Every lunch I have 400g veg and bean soup which is 120 calories, essentially nothing but very filling. Works our well weightwise...

My chocolate soy milk seems to have turned into tar in my fridge RIP, you were too full to die :(

I've become addicted to broccoli, Went to Mongolian bbq the other day and filled a bowl of broccoli, the guy looked at me like i was freak.

hah! I heard people can go there and just eat veg, is that nice or worth it?

I've had broccoli with ever dinner for a couple months now :o

It's a good deal for lunch 5.90 for all you can eat.

I think cauliflower is so nice to snack on, sometimes I buy it and by the time I go to use it it's gone from me picking at it whenever I visit the fridge.

I have to cook something on Sunday for mostly meat-eaters, it's supposed to be something irish but I don't think I'd waste my time trying to veganise an irish dish. Can you think of anything (not irish) that's a tasty potluck thing that's easy enough to make.

Macaroni cheese with a cauliflower based "cheese" sauce? Its something meat eaters would probably eat anyway.

You could keep it Irish and make boxty/potato cakes! Cheap, easy, nice.

    Interesting recipe here:

You can make them more interesting by adding spring onion, or cooked kale/spinach.

Dreamt by parents bought a snake. Woke up, remembered I looked into snake a few years ago and they seemed really interesting, then remembered I'd have to feed them mice. :(

Anyone else not keen on the cakes in Cornucopia? I feel like I'm the only one. I find them dry and pretty underwhelming.

Not really had many but I liked them. I loved their cheesecake.

    never tried them.

I got tomato soup on the way home, I read the ingredients in the supermarket and I dunno how I missed it but apparently 'soepballen' is a thing, marble sized meatballs in soup made of pork and beef mixed, so weird, what is wrong with you dutch >.< They sell hardly any soup and then they have vegetable soup and tomato soup with meatballs, wtf. Only seen them when I opened the damn thing, straight in the bin, the one time I try to be lazy godammit.

Meat in soup is wrong, ham in my pea soup before

I must check in town for Jack fruit, pulled jack fruit is the vegans in vogue thing compared to pulled pork. :p

Omg, I was saying there should be a veggie butchers here, after seeing ones in Netherlands etc.

They should commit to a full time location, I'd totally be into it.
